I’m not a vegetarian but I LOVE this, especially for my lunch. I always double up as they are not filling with just a single. I’ve tried all of morning stars burgers and this one [Grillers] tops them all, 100%. I definitely recommend.

These original Grillers are a sorry excuse for soy burger. They look nothing like nor taste like the burgers I had in the past. It has been several years since I have been able to have one. These new burgers were so thin and when you bite into them it is mush unless fried to burnt. I will not be buying these again. I am trying to add more soy to my vegetarian diet but these will NOT be part of it. The taste is also not good. I will be looking for a new more trustworthy brand to spend my money on. Be careful your famous sausage has a mushier texture too. Texture is an important factor in vegetation meats.

CHANGE IT BACK TO 2017 RECIPE

I haven’t bought original grillers since they first began to change the recipe. I’ve use this as a meat substitute for years and my grandmother has been eating them since forever. We use grillers for every meal spaghetti, tacos, lasagna, you name it. If it required ground meat we’d use the OLD grillers but now they taste like horrible shoes. Bring back the old recipe and same for Sausage Patties. You guys are going downhill you’re the BEST stop trying to compete with new brands leave stuff alone ヽ(ಠ_ಠ)ノ

My husband and I eat these all the time. We love the fact that they are vegetarian, easy to fix and they make a delicious and filling sandwich. I can bake them right in the oven, right along side my sliced potatoes, and for that extra kick I put on a little barbecue sauce.

I personally like these better than other burgers that try to imitate beef. Does it taste like beef? No, but it tastes good in its own way. Perfect with peanut butter and a fried egg on top!

NO LONGER THE CLASSIC TASTE. THE RECIPE CHANGED

Vegetarian Since Birth - 4 months ago
originally posted on kelloggs.com
I was raised a vegetarian since birth. My family and I ate these for decades. We all agree they changed the recipe and for the WORST. And NOW Impossible burger & beyond meat, are MUCH closer to the original griller flavor I grew up on. Currently The original griller taste like the prime griller. My family has over 200 vegetarians. The annual family bbq is crazy but we all agreed prime grillers not really good. The original griller flavor was always a staple. So When Morningstar/Kellogs changed the original griller recipe we all instantly knew. As the years have passed WE NO LONGER BUY original grillers because of the flavors changed and every time we do buy them we are quickly reminded why we SHOULDN’T. Theyre NOT good anymore. The flavor is off and actually unappetizing.

So after trying the non-chicken chicken patties from the same brand I decided to give these a go…because I actually enjoyed veggie burgers from restaurants. First - remember these are not supposed to taste like hamburgers. They’re veggie burgers. I think these are great! I oven cook mine, as I do the fake chicken patties, and had zero issues with texture (and I always have issues with textures). They taste like restaurant style veggie burgers. I personally like mine between a few leaves of romaine with a slight drizzle of chic-fil-e sauce (I have no idea how to spell it and have never eaten there, but my dad bought the sauce for me to try). I would definitely recommend these - but, again, they’re not a hamburger. It’s a totally different flavor profile and it’s supposed to be.

Unique Taste and Excellent Nutritional Profile

I've been eating these for a long time, and have noticed some changes and variation over the years. What has not changed is that they have a pleasant, non-beef but savory flavor that works equally well in pita bread in place of falafel, with a Southeast Asian style salad, or just on a plain toasted bun or English muffin with a dab of light mayonnaise. At just 130 calories and 16 grams of protein, it's a perfect choice. I agree with the negative reviews of Grillers PRIME. Perhaps there is some confusion between the two varieties. Grillers Prime has an artificial flame-broiled flavoring added, and has more fat and calories as well. Grillers ORIGINAL is hands down the best one for flavor AND nutrition.
