Just replace the bumper feet!
Super cute and matched my son’s nursery perfectly. At first I had a really hard time with them staying up and they kept slipping and falling over (I had several books) but I replaced the clear bumper feet that they came with, with bigger ones and now they are so much sturdier and work perfectly! Would highly recommend these as long as you replace the bumpers.

These are decorative only. I gave them 2 stars because they are cute, but they cannot support/hold a tall book (7+") and they frequently tumble off our shelf when books role 2 over. the clear rubber "stoppers" on the bottom of each bookend do little to prevent them from slipping and they've fallen off ours after only 2 days.

I was so excited about these bookends -- until I received them. I thought they were solid wood (as described) -- yet they are actually veneers (poorly and sloppily glued) on top of another type of material. The concept is super cute -- yet the quality is very poor and disappointing.

Agree with other reviews. These are cute but don’t work well to hold up books whatsoever. They consistent slide down and the books fall. Also the white paint at the top chips easily. Would not recommend unless using without books.

Mismatched and too lightweight
They are not the same color. One is stained a light brown and the other a darker mahogany. Maybe the Wood was different but they should still make an attempt to match them. They are also very lightweight. We are using them to prop books that are already leaning towards a wall but if they were used to hold the books they would not do it.

These are super cute and I love the idea of them. The paint lines aren’t crisp and in some areas the paint is chipped. They work great for decor and minimal books. These were no match for the amount of books we have and ended up falling over.
