CHRISTOPHER PAUL CURTIS is the recipient of the Coretta Scott King-Virginia Hamilton Award for Lifetime Achievement. He won the Newbery Medal and the Coretta Scott King Award for his bestselling second novel, Bud, Not Buddy.
