A: Hi, Dan! Regarding your question about the Multiplication 0 - 12 Flash Cards - (Flash Cards) (Paperback) - by Scholastic: without your zip code, it is hard to say which aisle but it is usually in the Entertainment section of a local Target store.

As everyone has mentioned these are kinda incomplete sets. They use both sides of the cards. So, for example, for the two times tables, one card may have both 2x0, and on the reverse 1x2. Not useful when trying to teach my kid the entire 2 x table. Also, the colored sides have a laminated coating whereas the purple (they all have a purple side) are uncoated so it feels u finished.
Not well designed

Do not recommend. The flash cards have math problems on both sides and the answer to each on the other side. Somebody thought it would make sense to put the opposite problem on each side. Eg 5x6 on one side and 6x5 on the other, which basically means the solution to each problem is on the same side for any kid that knows these are the same problem even if the numbers are flipped in order. I will try to return them.

As others have mentioned, these cards are poorly designed. With facts on front and back, you cannot easily sort into correct/incorrect fact piles. More problematic is that some of the cards have the same fact in reverse on the back, so the answer is displayed on the front (5x6=30 on front and 6x5=30 on back). The cards are colorful (on the fronts) and fairly sturdy but I wish we had purchased different ones.

The cards are not complete. For example, we are working on multiples of 6, but there are no 6x2 or 2x6 cards. There are others like this as well.

Incomplete cards, bought two sets for my children. Didn't open them sooner and missed the return window. You're better off buying index cards and making them yourself

Missing cards - 2 years ago
I think these cards skip over certain numbers, like it doesn't have 2x8, but it does have 8x2 later on in the cards, but if a child is learning the 2's, then how does that help me? I was trying to reorganize the deck to suit my needs, but still seeing issues and in the end I'm going to return them and just make my own as I need them. The quality of the printing and paper is nice though.

Instead of having one card for each multiplication problem, there are two on one card, making finding the answer confusing. Cheap, hence the additional stars

Cards are not the complete set 0 - 12. When we tried to organize them we discovered there are lots of multiples/problems missing. Doing the math that there are only 106 problems (3 instruction/info cards) there are 63 problems missing from a complete set from 0 to 12. Attached photo showing this mapped out.

I bought these for my son who is not doing so hot in math. The flash cards not well designed. They are double sided which makes it hard to sort when using them, for example I can’t make a “correct” pile and a “try again” pile. I should have looked at the reviews. We only tried to use the cards once hopefully I can return them.

Disappointed Buyer - 4 years ago
You would think making multiplication flash cards is a piece of cake, but this set would prove you wrong. Each fact is _not_ repeated both ways, and there are unrelated facts on the two sides of the cards. You might think that's not a big deal, but it makes it that if you want to review e.g. just all the 2x's and 3x's you can't do it! Would not recommend.
