Description
Mumm Sparkling Wine Brut Prestige is the signature cuvée from Mumm Sparkling. The grapes for this California sparkling wine are harvested by hand during the crisp morning hours to ensure they arrive at the winery in pristine condition. The result is a relaxed yet elegant wine featuring aromas of red apple, juicy pear, nectarine, strawberry and a hint of biscuit. Its vibrant flavors are balanced by fine acidity and a rich, lingering finish. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at cool temperatures to preserve freshness and fruit intensity. After initial fermentation, the art of the blending begins. Our winemakers find the perfect blend of wines to create our signature taste. The wine undergoes a second fermentation, a 16-month yeast aging to add complexity, subtle bread dough flavors and layers of creaminess, followed by an additional 3 months of aging after disgorgement on the cork to fully marry the dosage with the base wine. This versatile and balanced sparkling wine pairs well with sushi, creamy cheeses, hors d'oeuvres, poultry, or enjoy it in a bubbly cocktail like a classic Mimosa or Spritz. I NEVER drink Calf wines because they dump so many sulfites in that I get a screaming headache the next day, although I will drink this! Although Mumm is French and this is from Calf, I guess they are producing a quality wine. Quite dry with a nice aftertaste, this is a good choice for regular drinking.

I bought this on a family wine tasting party and it was hands down a favorite! The downside is that Target describes this as a prestige champagne but it’s actually a sparkling wine.

My go-to sparkling wine. Did you know that this was the selected celebratory sparkling wine when the Giants won the World Series? There’s a very good reason for that. Not too sweet, very bubbly, and an excellent price point.

It might be the nicest wine you can get without overpaying. Actually lots of people choose this one even over more expensive ones. It’s not too sweet and a classy recognizable bottle. Great for celebrating new jobs!

I honestly prefer this to the most popular, high end champaign on the market. And I’ve had $60+ champaign many times. I prefer this. To me, this has a crisp flavor. I pick up hints of apple, but not too overpowering. My favorite for a special occasion... or to make any day a special occasion.
