Q: how do you clean the mesh bag?? I put bananas in it and couldn't get it clean.

A: Hello, The Munchkin Fresh Food Feeder is first and foremost top rack dishwasher safe. As well, if you find that you are getting food stuck in the net the best way to remove it is with a soft bristled tooth brush. You can also soak the net in warm soapy water with a table spoon of vinegar to help dissolve and remove the pieces of food left/build up in the net.

If you have the money to get the silicone or plastic ones get it. These are very difficult to clean. It’s doable, just inconvenient. Didn’t have any issues with the netting ripping. I got these for baby 2 since I can’t afford the better ones. It’s something.

I was excited to try this with my little one, and it worked… once. It’s impossible to clean- not even in a dishwasher. Fruit stayed in mesh and was impossible to remove, making it unsafe to feed baby again. It was hard to open, too. Additionally, my baby accidentally bit the plastic side of it and she hurt her gums. Hard pass & waste of money!

Just don’t. The mesh is impossible to clean. You can’t even take it out and replace it. The only other option in store is a silicone feeder, Amazon has way more to choose from.

Wanted to love these, but had to throw them out after the second use. They are impossible to clean. No amount of soaking & scrubbing helped. Instead, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND OXO TOT Silicone Self feeders on Amazon, as they come apart to clean and are a better material for cleaning overall.

My 8 month old would bite through the silicone so I tried the mesh. The holes were not big enough and the area was too thick where the seams met. It’s durable but that is the only perk.

Don’t bother. They’re nice at first, but then are impossible to clean. Go straight for the silicone feeders instead.

This works great for introducing fruits/ vegetables for your infant. I honestly think it gets moldy for people who don’t clean it right away because I have never experienced any mold. I make sure to clean it right after my baby is done using it he absolutely loves it and it’s great for teething his favorite is watermelon and he gets so happy and does his happy feet dance whenever he sees it.
