A: No, it has no odor at all! In fact, I wish they made a big square one for a shower. This thing isn't just for kids.

submitted bytrex - 7 months agoA: Yes, a very strong odor. I purchased this mat a few months ago. I tried oxy-clean, vinegar, baking soda, etc. and nothing will stop the off-gassing from making our entire bathroom smell like rubber.

The large size provides full tub coverage, so baby can move all around safely. The mat is thick and soft and keeps baby from slipping. We hang it up after each use and it dries quickly. It’s easy to wipe clean to prevent soap build up. My only complaint is sometimes some of the suction cups don’t suction, however it doesn’t cause an issue with the mat staying put because there are so many suction points.

Looks great and fits well but the smell is just horrible. We’ve had it three full months now and it’s just as bad as the first day. I don’t know how anyone can stand it. Tossing it and buying something else that specifically says odorless!

I really love how cushioned this mat is. There needs to be improvement on the suctions. The main suctions are all around the edge of the mat, but while using it, it moves and moves a lot. You constantly have to be adjusting it. So there needs to be more suctions throughout the whole thing not just the edge.

This mat off gasses so bad. The smell is making me sick. I have owned this mat before and I don’t remember it smelling this badly. Munchkin, shame on you. This product is meant for babies and young children and it is clearly toxic. Going in the trash! I will give the pros just bc I did own this mat before without noticing a strong odor. It is very plush and cushioned which is why I bought it. It is nonslip as well.

I love it!! At first the small vent holes were pinching the bottom of my feet but after a couple showers it stopped oddly enough. I love the size it's long and very cushioned! It would be great if there were more colors!

Was hopeful about it since the old one was so nice. This mat STINKS. It smells awful no matter how much you wash it or treat it. It doesn't stick to the tub either and slides around everywhere. Don't waste your money.

It's comfortable and a good size but it STINKS SO bad. I tried soaking it in vinegar and hot water and have taken several showers and it still smells like toxic fumes are emitting from it

Comfortable mat to sit on but constantly growing mold underneath. I have to hang it to dry after every bath and scrub it every other week. Also only half of the suctions work. I could never get all of the suctions to stay

This bath mat has a terrible smell to it. We've washed it several times with soap and water and baking soda and water. Still smell horrible. We've air dried it, left it in the sun, which was recommended and still smelly. We also noticed our granddaughter started getting a rash after using it. I definitely do not recommend and will try to return or contact the company.
