It’s cute to use as a toy but doesn’t serve its purpose. The “hot” emblem on the bottom of the duck is supposed to turn white if the water is too hot, but it’s always white. The emblem on the bottom is the same color while the ducky is sitting on the counter as it is in scalding hot water.

You don’t need this to check the temp of the water. Just feel the water and trust your own judgment bc it’s not accurate. However, we have had this for almost 5 years and with two babies, and it has stayed in our bath the whole time and they still LOVE this duckie. And it has lasted in good condition still. Better than the ones that have the hole in the bottom.
