We love that this duck does not have a hole in it so that water cannot be trapped inside. In terms of the purpose to tell if the water is hot or not, we couldn’t quite tell a difference between when the hot marking was glowing and when it was not. In the end doesn’t matter because my daughter loves playing with these ducks in the bathtub. I ended up buying a second one for her to play with.

I love showering with almost boiling hot water so this is a must. As soon I see it turn hot I add more cold water. Not only is it cute but it also doesn't have a hole on the bottom. It makes it easier to keep clean and prevents bacteria from growing inside of it.

Ok so the duck is cute but that’s about it. Any water temp above frozen is going to elicit a too hot with this. I used and my daughter was literally chattering her teeth. Instead go with your gut on temp or buy one that is an actual thermometer. 0/10 would not recommend

This is such a cute duck! It works just fine & my baby loves to play with it too. I see tons of comments stating that it doesnt work for long but it specifically states on the back that it may stop working. It’s literally $2.89 & a cute duck that won’t mold inside, so I don’t care!

Doesn't work as intended, if I were fl follow the temp recommendation from this ducky my baby would take a bath in ice cold water. We used a food and bev thermometer to test the water this said was HOT and it was 95 degrees, the letters only changed back to blue when the water was literally cold. We just use common sense and our best judgement instead of this ducky. When baby is older maybe he will enjoy it as just a bath toy.

This ducky is a really good product. I'm always nervous about the temperature of my child's bath water, and the indicator has many different shades before it gets to a pure white, so it's easy to tell what is warm and what is to hot. I read that people don't like how easily it changes color, which worried me initially, but the difference between the whites of the indicator is actually really helpful!
