Murad Essential-C Cleanser - 5.0oz - Ulta Beauty

I have been using this product for years, it is worth ever penny I own. At one point in my life, earlier this year, I decided to stop woth my regular cleaning program and deeply regret it. I had horrible cyctic acne and acne scars just below my cheekbones; I used that cleanser, The Ordinary niacinamid, hyloronic acid, and salicylic acid (in that order of application) with the CEO vitamin c hydration cream after and they're gone after two months. I get the occasional hormonal breakouts but it kills them like a champ. Every other or three days I wash my face. Best combo in the world hands down.

This is the type of cleanser that helps my skin look great without any makeup! Confidence booster!

I have been using the travel size once, sometimes twice, a day, and now that I've used up the tube, here is my review. THE GOOD: The smell is divine, like the bright morning sunshine. I seriously look forward to it. My skin feels great after washing, never tight or dry. THE BAD: It doesn't remove makeup very well. I don't wear a ton, I use makeup remover around my eyes beforehand, but when using a toner after washing there is still a lot of makeup that is left on the cotton ball. So, I would recommend a double cleanse when removing makeup for the day. I also did not see any difference in the advertised brightening effect. But, as I mentioned, I only have used the travel size, so if it takes more than that amount to see brightening, you'll have to get the bigger size. I know Vitamin C takes a while to lighten dark spots, so I just can't say if this cleanser works for that or not. THE UGLY: The price for what you get. I bought this during a B1G1 mini size sale to try it out. Based on what I've experienced, I would never pay full price for this product. I would definitely use it again as a morning cleanser if the price was right, but I think there are cheaper options out there that are just as good.

this is the best cleaner i have ever used. i have been using this for 4+ years, and switched back and forth between this and elta md foaming face wash until i settled on this one. i have a lot of scaring and this brightens them HELLA. my eyebrows are tatted and so are my lips, i was wondering why it was fading so fast. ITS THE FACE WASH. IT WORKS. the best ever.

I have been using this face wash for about a year and I love it's skin brightening properties and how it wakes me up in the morning. It has a very fresh scent!

I've been using this cleanser for almost 3 years now. We are definitely locked in, now do yourself a favor and get it!

I loved the effect on my skin as I used this product before placing any make-up on. It also gave my skin a lasting glow without make up.

I truly don't know why this cleanser has such good reviews. As a future Esthetician, I have tried many good skincare products and this is by far the worst in the sense that it does absolutely nothing for me. I have combination skin which means I have an oily T-zone and normal-dry on my cheeks and such. This cleanser does nothing and I expected something, especially at this price point!

Very expensive… just trying to get it when I can afford it … no specials on it.

It's help my face, it must be the vitamin C!

I have been using this cleanser for one week now and after a couple of uses I noticed the brightening effect. My face looks brighter and my dark patches now seem to be lightening up. I have age spots as well as sun damage on my face from long outdoor runs. Yes, I used sunscreen but didn't reapply. This has really helped lighten them up. I would definitely recommend this.

I have been using this entire line from Murad for the past 2 years. I had severe sun damage from a 1st degree sunburn to my face 30 years ago. Using these products as directed my dark sun damage has reduced significantly and my self-confidence is back!!

46 combination skin… feels soft and clean when using this product. I just bought Philosophy on a whim and like that too, but I think I should have stayed with tried and true. I love this

I've used this cleanser exclusively for 10+ yrs. I have combination skin and am in my 60's. After use always feels clean and soft. None of the dryness or tight feeling I've experienced of other products years past. Would like it to cost a little less but the science and years of work by Dr Murad has put into perfecting this product is really worth it.

My new favorite morning cleanse. Great texture. Leave my skin soft and clean to start the day.

This smells phenomenal, is gentle and a little goes a long way! Literally will last forever because a dab will easily lather up your whole face and neck

This is a great cleanser for my combination skin with oily t-zone. My skin feels super refreshed and clean after using but without that tight feeling you get from cleansers that are drying. The only negative is that it is very pricey for a cleanser, but a little bit really goes a long way.

Love! My all time favorite face always I've tried. Leaves My skin feeling smooth and soft. Smells nice. Foams nicely. Have used their other vitamin c products and this is my favorite of them
