The author wanted others to know that regardless of how they were brought up or treated by their parents, they can still come through it. He realizes that it was the way he was treated as a child that shaped him as a man.He adds: For years I have been urged by so many people to write a book about my life story. However, I didn't want to upset my mother, father, and step-father with its contents. Then again, there was the temptation of it possibly being a best seller, along with the thought that as it is a much traumatized account of my childhood, perhaps nobody would accept or believe it to be true.Therefore, it is for this reason that I am compelled to put my life into print.
