Really convenient and handy product, but it stopped working after only 6 months. Can't return anymore either....what a waste of money. It seems like other reviewers are having the same problem. Also FYI, the remote uses a watch battery, which tends to be pricey.

Worked great at first, but the buttons started taking longer presses, and then more presses, and now four months later it doesn't work at all. Tried replacing the battery and got about three more days of life out of it before it completely stopped working again. Remote lights up, but doesn't seem to pass a signal.

I was looking for a remote switch I could mount in an existing wall receptacle. It specifically says it can do this but when I received my items (and I bought two) they did not look like the one advertised and can not be mounted in a wall receptacle. As you can compare from my picture the mounting screws are within the center of the switch and not pertruding out the top and bottom like the one advertised.
I will have to try and return.

It works well, was easy to connect, switch looks great on wall, ordered on line and arrived sooner than expected. I have a den with double doors. The light switch is behind one of the doors; very frustrating as i had to stumble around into the dark room to get to the light switch. This remote switch solved that problem. I plugged a table lamp into the receiver, plugged the receiver into the wall socket and attached the switch to the wall out side the room. The switch is not a 'rocker' but is so similar that it looks great and matches with all my other wall mounted switches. Also i would not recommend buying two of these (for different locations in the same house) as they work off the same frequency and thus...each switch with operate every receiver. If you need more than one, purchase one with a different manufacture/brand. We currently have 4, all different brands, all work independently.

One thing to keep in mind is that the lamp needs to be in the on position or it won't work. The controller can be a little wonky, but it's nice to turn the light off without having to get up! When I saw this product I had the perfect use for it. I have a floor lamp that has a floor switch. The lamp is in a corner that is hard to get to. I hooked this device up and am so happy with it.
