In our humble opinion, sun care is one of the best forms of self-care. Slather on daily for broad spectrum protection against UVA and UVB sun rays. Our 20% active Zinc Oxide formula is dermatologist tested and suitable for sensitive skin, plus it absorbs quickly and goes on ultra-sheer. We don't use chemical actives like oxybenzone and octinoxate, so all Native Sunscreens are compliant with the Hawaii Act 104 which was passed in an effort to protect Hawaii's reefs. Don't forget to reapply at least every 2 hours.

Directions: Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply at least every 2 hours. Use water resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating. Sun Protection Measures. Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a broad spectrum SPF of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wear long-sleeve shirts, pants, hats, and sunglasses.Children Under 6 Months

This is one of the only sunscreens I can use due to a sunscreen allergy. I can only use zinc oxide sunscreens. The price has gone up while the portion has gone down. Really disappointing and won’t be able to afford this moving forward.

Wow does this stuff SUCK! Coated myself in it just to still get absolutely toasted at the beach. Doesn’t do anything. Says it’s not “sweat” resistant which is crazy for a sunscreen! Who doesn’t sweat when wearing sunscreen?? You put sunscreen on when it’s hot… Makes ZERO sense. Native sucks. Would’ve been zero stars if available.

Have tried countless mineral based sunscreens over the past few years - this is the only one that works as well as rubs in to the skin in a reasonable amount of time (even on my hairy husband!).

I love this sunscreen! One of the biggest positives for me is that it’s low-tox. I feel good about using it daily, knowing it’s a cleaner option for my skin and health. It’s also super easy to apply! It does leave a bit of a white cast, but honestly, it’s minimal and doesn’t bother me much, especially considering the other benefits.

This sunscreen is cleaner than many other brands. It goes on well and can be rubbed in without leaving white streaks. This corrects my skin without burning. Covers well. My husband has sensitive skin and this is the only one that does not affect his skin. Both unscented and scented are nice.

No white film afterwards!! Works like a charm, great product, no scent! No oil residue afterwards either. It rubs on like a lotion, at first it looks white until you finish rubbing it in and then there's no white cast. Awesome product!

I was hopeful when i bought this given that it’s called “native” but was soon disappointed at the false advertising. It has a definite white cast. It goes on lumpy and is hard to blend in and is super greasy. Would not recommend.

First time we used it my husband burnt but I didn’t, very well could have been related to application. Otherwise it did work well, my only wish is that it was water resistant for any period of time so I would be more comfortable using it for my kids too. It did seem a little sticky on the skin after application but rubbed in well (no white cast) and didn’t come off on furniture or anything.

I truly don’t understand this sunscreen. I bought it because it scores really well on Yuka. I use it on my son who is mixed race (black/white) but he still has pretty light skin. He never gets burnt when I apply it on him. But when I apply it on myself (white), I get absolutely fried. I even tried applying it very thick on my arms and chest still got very sunburnt and I wasn’t in any water. I was going to try the face mineral sunscreen from Native, but the reviews seem to say the same thing on that one. Super big bummer since it’s a “healthier” sunscreen. I’m hoping they’ll change the formula to where people aren’t getting burned while using it, but still have it remain nontoxic.

This mineral sunscreen is thick, impossible to rub in and stays tacky. Not for me and one of the worst mineral sunsreens I have tried.
