My husband and I use it. It tastes good and it works fast if you have some acid. We also use it as a preventative and take it right before bedtime and whenever else we think we will be eating something spicy. We've been using it for a few years and have never had a problem with the taste.

I have Barretts esophagus which has caused me a lot of pain. Taking one or two of these has cut down my discomfort tremendously.

This DGL used to have a lovely taste. Now it tastes rotten or rancid. It's not just this one bottle. I've ordered this four different times because I couldn't believe it, but all four bottles taste the same. Worried I'll make myself sick if I use. Have to switch to another brand.

I do not understand the negative reviews. I have tried other brands and always come back to this one. It is not candy; it is a supplement for . . . can't tell you thanks to the FDA . . . just google dgl and digestion. It works great and is a little treat for those of us who have long lists of things we cannot eat. Best price is here at Swansons.

I tried a number of brands of deglycyrrhizinated licorice, but this one was the best. It's chewable, the flavor is good and it is reasonably priced.

I don't know what the problem is with the negative reviews about taste. I have tried several of the DGL products including the one most often recommended (that one contains artificial sugar products in the ingredients...not so great if you already have gut problems), and returned to this one. It has the least ingredients, seems most natural, and in my opinion, certainly has the best taste of all those I tried. It is a hard tablet which might bother some, but just hold it in your mouth and let it soften before chewing. It does the job it is supposed to do, and does so excellently.

this chewable DGL does not taste as good as a former product

This product has worked very well for me. I love licorice and I love the taste of this licorice. I wouldn"t want to be without it.

These do not taste at all like licorice - in fact, they taste awful. (I'd say like dirt, but have never actually tasted any so can't really say.) They're supposed to improve digestion... oops! I tried several times to make sure, but each time they gave me a stomach ache, go figure. I sent them back and later got another brand of DGL, which worked fine for me.
