Q: Will this rug ruin laminate floors in my home if I use a rug pad under it?

A: I saw this rug in the store and thought about using it for indoor because it is really soft to the touch, and it won't by prickly as an authentic sisal or yute rug. If the floor is a concern a rug pad would be a good idea just to be safe, but I don't think it's necessary.

Great Looking Jute Rug
This rug can be used indoor and outdoor. I love the flat weave, which is already super easy to vacuum. I have to agree with some of the reviews on how the rug frays, it will happen because it's a natural jute. I just lightly trim those sticking out pieces and it's good as new. I always get compliments on the rug from my guests. I want to get another one but a bigger size.

These do NOT last outdoors
I have had this rug in the 8x10 and 5x7. Please Save your money. These look great for about a month outdoors, then they legitimately unravel and fall apart. They then become outdoor tripping hazards because of the unraveling. I’ve never actually had a rug dry rot on me before and both of these rugs have. We do not have extreme weather and I am just in disbelief that these are labeled as outdoor. Ours also turned a gross green color.

Completely unacceptable delivery
Ordered the oversized version of the rug which was 42lbs. It was left on the complete opposite side of my house/front door, and it was torn open and dirty. It should have been in an additional casing. This was not professional. The rug is meant to go inside my house to protect my carpet and it is blackened from mishandling. The rug itself is gorgeous but the delivery company completely ruined it before I even got it in the house. Not to mention I had to carry it in myself. EFW shipping

A nice, natural looking rug. Not too rough and has held up to a slew of young boys running in and out our deck door. I like to kick off dirty shoes on it too. It still looks great without even being sprayed off. Only negatives are that it’s heavy and hard to move when wet and has a bit of a smell when wet too long.

9x12 terrible
We purchased a smaller one and loved it! We even used it in our baby’s nursery instead of outdoor. We loved it so much that we purchased a second one in a 9x12. When it came it was horribly pulled/was unraveling in many places. Target customer service only offered me 15% off more than what I had originally paid, or to return for a full refund. So disappointed! I guess if you’re willing to take your chances on getting a good one-then order it, but there may be a chance you get one like the second one I ordered too.
