This doesn’t look like Pee-wee Herman, not even close. If Paul Reubens were still with us, I truly believe he would have rejected this version outright. Paul was a perfectionist when it came to Pee-wee, and he held the character to a high standard in every detail. Unfortunately, that standard is nowhere to be found here. The artist or designer missed the mark, and it makes me seriously question who approved this. Are we, the fans, expected to settle for third-rate merchandise from here on out? Disappointing and unworthy of his legacy. Take me back to 1987—when toy makers actually cared, and Pee-wee looked like Pee-wee.

Orders opened 5/2, 9AM EST. I ordered right at 9. Target did not sell out until later that day. It's now been a week and the order has been delayed twice, still pending.
