Q: Please tell me if Tollhouse DARK chocolate chips contain soy. My allergy to soy is severe so I cannot accept MAY contain soy. All other Tollhouse chips contain soy as far as I know.

I think these chocolate chips only deserve a rating of a 2 out of a possible 5, because they have an odd after-taste that's sort of a chemical taste, and they actually lessen the overall taste of the cookies rather than enhancing them.

I've tried other, more expensive, chips & the flavor doesn't compare in quality & taste to Nestles. I have been using more of the mini's of late. I like them in muffins & ice cream, especially.

A wonderful classic
I have been baking chocolate chip cookies for at least 50 years, and although I have tried a few other brands, I continue to buy Nestle's morsel year after year. I can always count on the taste and texture, and everyone proclaims my cookies are the best they have tasted. I also use them for other baked items, and for melting and dipping cookies and biscotti. My family also loves adding the minis to pancakes or on top of ice cream.
