Q: I work on the road will it work on hotel wifi

submitted by Valentino - 3 years ago

  • A: Hi Valentino, thanks for reaching out about Netgear AX1600 4-Stream Wifi 6 Mesh Extender. The answer to this depends on the specific hotel's router setup. However, some hotel networks will block such devices due to their router configuration and it will need to be configured to connect to the network at each hotel. Because this device was designed for a long term integration with a home network to alleviate coverage gaps it may not be suitable to this task. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

    Good Extender for 2.4g Devices

I bought this because the WiFi connection to my irrigation system was not stable. Despite a recorded strong signal, my Xfinity XB8 was not cooperating with my 2.4 receiver. I bought Netgear, renamed the signal xxxHunter and reconnected it to my system. It provides a smooth and stable interface. Have not had a problem since.

    Great piece of equipment

This new product replaced a 10-year-old one. This works well out of the box. The model eliminates the little antennas (that attracted the grandkids) and has an easy to find button should I ever need to reset it. I sold Netgear products when I was in computer sales 20 years ago and the manufacturer is great. Thanks!
