    Useless

    The setup instructions are minimal with no explanation of what the lED's mean and no trouble shooting help. After trying to set it up, it totally fouled up my Netgear 6 modem/router and I had to hire the Geek squad to fix my network and it took them over an hour. The AX3000 is back in the box.

    Good Product

    Got this item and it works great. Boosted my Wifi signal to full strength across the bottom floor of my home. Only downside is that it can be a little finnicky upon initial setup. Would recommend, especially for the price.

    Wireless booster

    I have a Nighthawk wireless router that works great but there is a dead spot, so I got the ax1600 to fill the void. It was very easy to install with the app. Everything works as it should.

    Software install not simple. Poor management functionality in app

    I was frustrated with the installation software has to do it a couple times. The nighthawk app to manage the nighthawk and extender does not have the management visibility I would like. I can’t really tell what SSID the devices are connected to. I can not tell if the device is connecting through the nighthawk or the extender. So troubleshooting issues is difficult.

    Had to update my router from touch because it was too old but once that was taken care of it went barely seamlessly on me initially installed and now that everything is all done it's all on one network it jumps back and forth all on the phone and I don't have to do anything and it just works with such ease it's really the best

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased 2 of the NetGear wifi extenders. They worked the 1st couple of days then after that nothing. I repeatedly tried to reconnect my router and modem for a good while but no luck! These extenders you plug in the wall mounts get really hot too. Hope they don't cause an house fires!

    Great item to use

Only thing that is lacking is instructions on how to get the extender to connect to your modem/wifi box. I had to use youtube to do that but other than that its simple and easy to set up.

    Works pretty well

    I bought the extender to add stronger coverage to the back of my house for my home office. It has also helped with getting Wifi access to our back yard which has been great. I would definitely recommend.

    Uncertain mandatory Netgear app for installing

    It seems downloading the app and creating a netgear account were not necessary. the installation process was not very clear. In the end the task was completed and it's working ok.

    Gets the Job Done

Works like a charm, though the setup being only through a mobile app with no desktop support would drop this to 4.5 stars if possible. Haven't tried the ethernet connectivity on it, but we haven't needed it yet. Besides that, no issues at all, would recommend if you need a quick and dirty extension.

    NETGEAR AX1600 WiFi 6 Mesh Extender

    I’ve been using the NETGEAR AX1600 WiFi 6 Mesh Extender (EAX12) in my home for a week now and it’s made a noticeable difference in coverage. Before, my Wi-Fi was weak in the bedrooms and backyard, but now the signal is strong and stable everywhere I use my devices. Setup was pretty easy using the app, and it connected quickly to my existing router without any issues. Once it was up and running, I saw faster speeds on my phone and laptop in the rooms that used to lag. Gaming and streaming feel smoother too, without the constant buffering I used to get. Overall I’d say this extender really helped fill in dead spots in my Wi-Fi, and the WiFi 6 support seems to make performance better for all my devices at once.

    It works well enough

    It works well enough in bridge mode as a receiver for a wired connection. The bandwidth seems to be good enough for 4K video streaming. The connection does have the occasional hiccups but unclear if that is a congested neighborhood issue or the device. If I were to be using this in extender mode I would have preferred it to have a dedicated 5ghz back haul while also supporting 5ghz extension but for the price this wasn't an expected feature.
