This is the best cleansing balm I've tried ever! I have bought multiple oil cleansers and cleansing balms, but they all end up irritating my skin. This one is the exception, and I consider it very affordable compared to other brands. Neutrogena, please don't discontinue this product! I don't want to find another one, please... I avoid makeup wipes at all costs because this does the trick! I wear light makeup, so I usually just need a little and it gets off everything — waterproof mascara, concealer, etc.

The cleansing balm in the blue 2oz container was PERFECT. I never had any problems with it, loved that it was fragrance free, and removed my makeup perfectly. It was truly my holy grail product. Now, the cleansing balm in the WHITE packaging is TERRIBLE!!! The texture isn’t as smooth, smells funny, and just not as good as the original. Also, this has broken me out so so so bad. My skin has been doing so good at managing breakouts and not my face is covered in hard white bumps. The texture I have now is the worst it’s been in months. I hate it so much. Please skip this product and try something else. Neutrogena destroyed a perfect product.

I don’t write reviews often, but I want to warn someone out there who might read the reviews before purchasing. I love this product. It removed all my makeup and I finally felt I found the perfect makeup remover for waterproof mascara. However .. this BURNED my face. It didn’t happen right away, it took 2-3 days until I felt it. It was sudden and on my birthday!! Water couldn’t even touch my face. I wish I could be giving it 5 stars. It has amazing reviews from others, so maybe it has to do with my skin type? I have combination skin, but I’m on the dryer side right now because of the weather.

I have tried many makeup removers, such as oil/squalene-based cleansers, oil-free liquid removers, wipes, foaming cleansers, and micellar waters. All had the same problems: terrible eye irritation when removing mascara and/or simply ineffective. This stuff WORKS! I massage on dry skin for 30-60sec, then wipe off with a warm soft damp cloth. Every trace of makeup is GONE!
