I have fine 2A thin hair and it cleans well without stripping and leaves my hair soft, and gives it volume! I have trouble finding a shampoo that works for me. This doesn’t weight my hair down and doesn’t make it oily. It does have a strong scent while you’re washing but once you rinse it out it’s fine!

I purchased this shampoo along with the conditioner and mousse from the same line with my own money and this review is NOT incentivized. My hair tends to really love Nexxus products and these are no exception! These products give the term of “weightless volume” a meaning. My hair feels airy and light, healthy and SO soft! The most volume is achieved when the whole line is used together and blow dried with a round brush, but even when i skip the foam and air dry instead my hair is still full and voluminous. My hair is quite short right now, around chin length, but i cant wait to see how this performs when my hair is long again! Definitely recommend for anyone with fine hair looking for airy soft volume! Oh yeah and it smells wonderful as all Nexxus products usually do. Clean, fresh, and light. Love!

Been trying so many different shampoo and conditioner. I was hoping this will help my thin flat hair but again disappointed. This brand Nexxus has awesome smell but cause my hair to fall out so much. Their volume products dry out my hair too.

I have been using this brand for years before ever receiving any product from them. I love Nexxus as it is healthier for your hair, and it adds a luxurious feel to every shower. This shampoo in particular has an amazing scent, floral, and refreshing. It saved my hair when I was on vacation in the Bahamas. I was in the ocean salt water everyday and this product made my hair feel so smooth and soft at the end of each day. It cleansed my hair and added the protein into my hair to strengthen my hair protecting it from damage from the salt water. I recommend this product highly.

I have fine hair and this is a hard pass for me. It weighs my hair down. I’ve tried using less, making sure it’s all rinsed out. But by the end of the day my hair is weighed down and feels greasy. There used to be another Nexxus shampoo that was amazing for my hair but I haven’t been able to find it so I decided to give this a try. Time to try a new brand.

This did not work on my fine, thin hair. It left it very dry, flyaway, lifeless, and no volume. I tried it several times with no luck. It's not nearly as good as Diametress - I wish they would bring it back.

Please stop making sulfate free shampoos. There are enough. They don’t clean the hair well enough. There is a HUGE gap in the market for shampoos for oily hair. I can only think of maybe one or two that are even marketed for greasy hair. The only types are “clarifying shampoo” that direct you to use only once or twice per week. I used to buy only Nexxus products before all the lines started removing sulfates. What’s next? Silicones?

I would say that the Nexxus Hy-volume shampoo is for someone with fine hair who lacks volume. I do have rather thicker hair so I didn't see any volume of a difference. I've been using Nexxus Diametress shampoo for several years. Is it being discontinued? It is perfect, without conditioner for my genetically fine hair. Looked like this Hy-Volume was a replacement? Anyway, not for me. It left my hair very full and ok right after use but by the end of the day my hair felt very dry and brittle...also without using any Conditioner. The Diametress is good for a couple of days without feeling dry. I hope you continue to sell it. I consider it expensive but will continue to buy if available.
