A: I have found that is not the case, with other Ninja blenders. I have interchaged the cups/jars. I do not know if that is true with this unit, but I have a similar unit with cups that I bought directly from Ninja. That base fits with other (older) cups.

I make smoothies 2-3 days a week. I bought this blender which had great reviews and it started cracking after about 2 months. The pitcher has cracked to the point of not being usable not and I have owned it less than 4 months. Don't waste your money on this cheap item. I had my last kitchenaid blender for 13 years. Do not buy this.

Whoever designed this thing was an idiot. The pitcher is made of plastic and the lid is held in place by the pitcher. The pitcher is weak where the lid attaches, eventually breaking off so you now have to physical hold the lid on for it to function.

I love this blender and used it weekly for morning smoothies. However, I bought this blender in February of 2023 and the lid of the blender no longer stays locked so I have to hold it shut while it blends. I have made sure all parts are locked in as they should be and it still won't stay shut without me holding it. This is disappointing because I love this blender but I shouldn't be having to hold the lid shut after only a little over a year of use.

My first blender was a Ninja, which I bought in 2016! I loved it. But I knew it was time for a replacement! I knew the only brand to look at was Ninja!! This blender is slightly smaller, but I decided that I never used the other ounces anyway! It is powerful. Very very easy to use! And quite sturdy! Like I stated in my title "Ninja is the only brand for me!"

This is a decent blender but it's not great. There isn't a vortex created when it's working so it can take time for thing to liquify. Stuff, like protein powders, can get stuck in the corners. The blade design makes it tricky to clean.
