Q: Is this a different formula and scent from the Original After Shave fresh cooling balm? It was listed as menthol and vitamins. If it is different, is there a product more similar to the older, original version?

First off, why would anyone package shave balm with a slick round lid? Wet hands + round things are terrible. Bring back the rectangular easy grip lid. Or don't, because if the formula doesn't change back, I'm never buying it again, the new formula goes on like sunblock and smells about the same. It will sit on skin for minutes, never absorb, and my face feels chapped 5 minutes later. There is no relief from razor burn at all.

I recently purchased the same package and product that I’ve been using for years….only to find out that it’s been reformulated. I looked up and thought I made a mistake and the consistency was completely different and it didn’t absorb. What a bad experience. Problem is: I don’t know where to find the old formula. I’ve been incredibly loyal for many years and find this to be really, very frustrating since it was never publicly shared in the first place…and only if we look up similar reviews and feedback. How are you going to fix this?!

Been using this product for many years. Purchased 3 new bottles recently and I'll have to throw them out, they are completely unusable. They leave a white residue on your face and don't soothe the skin nearly as well. The skin still feels irritated after using it. Hate it.

I purchased a second bottle and had the same results and realized something had changed. Please bring back the original formula of Nivea Post Shave Balm. It worked extremely well and I have enjoyed it for years. If and when you do bring back the original, please label the box so consumers know they are not wasting money on the current one.

This product was horrible for me, I read through the reviews and made the mistake in giving this product the benefit of the doubt. It is extremely greasy and very hard to absorb in my skin. The worst of it all was that it made me break out! That was the final straw and I had to return it. From what I’ve read, this new formula was Made in Mexico so avoid any packaging with that labeled. Hopefully Nivea reads these reviews and reverts to the old formula. Until then, this is awful and should be avoided.

Like others have mentioned, the new formula leaves a lotiony film-like residue behind and has actually caused me to have breakouts I haven’t experienced since I was a teenager. Disappointed I just purchased a fresh 3-pack and will have to find an alternative solution until the old formula is back. Would be nice if I could exchange these for the old formula. When will the it hit shelves again?
