Q: I've seen sites explaining that 10-guage aluminum is not as thick / desirable as 18-guage. Did NordicWare change the aluminum to save cost?

submitted by StylingStella - 5 years ago
  • A: Hello Stella, Nordic Ware has not change the gage of our aluminum. The Naturals Baker's Half sheet and all of our Naturals sheet pans are 20 Gauge Aluminum. ~ June E. - Nordic Ware Consumer Service

Q: What is the highest degree you can use for the pan without damage? Can I broil at 550?

submitted by Suzy - 6 years ago
  • A: Hello, General maximum temperature recommendation for the Nordic Ware Naturals Bakers Half Sheet is 500 degrees. The pan is safe to use and will perform at higher temps. For example, you are free to use the pan when broiling. Oil can become permanently baked on to pans at higher temperatures and the pan may discolor or take on a bronzed patina. These features are cosmetic only, and do not cause a safety or performance issue. Kind Regards, Nordic Ware Customer Experience

Q: Are these pans going to turn brown/black like the cheaper cookie sheets?

submitted by Aims - 7 months ago
  • A: Hello, Discoloration of baking pans is due to cleaning and care. What You Might See Over Time: Discoloration or patina from heat and use. Scuffs or marks from utensils or cleaning. Surface wear that comes naturally with use and time. ♥️ Cheers to well loved kitchen pans ! Your pan will bake evenly and release beautifully. Cosmetic imperfections are part of its character, not a flaw. ♥️ Each pan is unique, just like the goodies you bake in it! Kind Regards, Nordic Ware Customer Experience Team
