Description

NutriCology DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) is micronized in a lipid base, meaning the DHEA is reduced to tiny crystals and stabilized in a lipid matrix for optimized absorption. This Micronized Lipid Matrix tablet system allows DHEA to be presented directly to the systemic circulation via the lymph, protecting the micronized crystals, which are less than 50 microns in size, from harsh gastric juices. By avoiding the hepatic portal vein and the liver's first-pass effect, higher levels of DHEA are made available for a longer period of time. Preparations that do not use the Lipid Matrix system must first pass through the portal vein system.
