NYX Professional Makeup HD Studio Finishing Loose Powder - Translucent - 0.21oz

I don't wear face makeup a ton anymore but this is my go to on top of foundation when I do. Currently, I use it on top of my sunscreen. I'm super sensitive to sunscreen on my face around my eye area... this has been a game changer to stop my sunscreen from "melting" as much. It also helps to make my skin look and feel less oily when using skin products. A bit pricey but as I don't use it everyday, it feels worth it.

I literally never write reviews but I had to stop in the middle of my makeup to write this. This powder is horrendous. It is insanely chalky, smells weird, and makes your eyes look so incredibly crepey. It made my shape tape look oxidized. I will be returning Monday. Do NOT buy!!

I put this on and everywhere had the whitest flash back… omg it was terrible

I like this powder a lot! I find that for me it does a great job at setting my makeup for a long days wear. The only thing I dislike about it is it can be easy to spill or get too much on the brush with how the packaging is made.

Flashback was horrible!!

I bought this because it doesn’t have any toxic ingredients, but I could not stand the smell of it. It worked fine the few times I used it, but I felt a little suffocated from the smell of it. It doesn’t have fragrance, which is great, but just a strong powder-y smell.

This product is horrible. It clings to your skin and makes splotches. If you take a picture, it makes anywhere you put it on glow white. It is not good do not buy

If you want it to look like you have highlighter all over your face then this is your product. Every time I did my makeup it left a glittery finish and I thought it was my beauty blender or brushes. Once I figured out that is was the setting powder I bought a new brand immediately.

First, it has a strong smell and really irritates my sinuses so I have to hold my breath while I’m putting it on. Second, it takes off my makeup underneath when applying it! I used the same brush I always use and no other powder does this. It’s not a huge amount but it’s noticeable as I have acne to cover and it undoes all the coverage I have. However, if you don’t need something super good it does the job and is good for oily skin and setting makeup.

This product has made an EXTREME backlash, it looks fine in the mirror until you turn the flash on in pictures. It looks as if i didnt even blend it out and it was straight up WHITE, not translucent at ALL. The texture is chalky and in pictures, it looks patchy and splotchy. My face feels really dry and heavy. I do not recommend..

This powder literally absorbs excess shine through the day. I have oily skin and this is the only thing that leaves my face matte all day. I love it!

Honestly have never had an issue with NYX products but this was BADDDDD! Just absolutely awful…it gave me the WORST flashback ever!! I will say it left my skin looking flawless to the human eye but did me so dirty in pictures. Stick to the Laura Mercier setting powder!

It sets my liquid foundation fine, but trying to press the powder in leaves a huge white cast that’s impossible to blend out and ends up looking very dry. Probably won’t buy again.

The powder is way to fine for my taste

You can really tell which era of makeup tutorials we grew up with based on the reviews and pictures. I’m an elder millennial and starting using this product around 2014 before I’d ever heard the word “baking” used outside the kitchen. This powder was a lifesaver- I bought it in a pinch in between a wedding ceremony and reception when I noticed that the BALMY Midwest summer air was making me ultra shiny. I stopped into a target and bought this along with a fluffy face brush. I lightly applied the powder over my forehead and cheeks and was instantly cured of my shine! My makeup looked beautiful and the silica blurred the appearance of my pores. I’ve loved this product ever since and have never been let down. Seeing other reviewers hating the flashback they get from using this as a baking powder, I can’t help but giggle. For sure, I’d hate this too if I was using it with a heavy hand to set under-eye makeup. It’s not meant to be used that way. I’d consider it more of a finishing powder than a setting powder. It’s great to reduce shine, but doesn’t do much for staying power for foundation or concealer.

Sets my makeup super well, lasts long and doesn’t have a white cast at all. The only things I dislike about it is makes my face feel dry and doesn’t smoothen skin
