Q: Are these gloves good to use for dish washing in extra hot water

submitted by Ape - 2 years ago

  • A: No, they are not protective of heat at all.

Q: are these cotton lined

submitted by Jane - 5 months ago

  • A: These did not feel like they were lined at all. It was very difficult to put them on and take them off because of how grippy they are inside. There is also no insulation preventing hot water from "burning" my hands.

submitted bydetailsdetails - 4 months ago

  • A: Hi Jane, Yes, the Playtex Living Gloves feature a soft cotton lining designed to provide added comfort and make them easy to put on and remove. Hope this helps!

    Need better color than gray

Not sure why in the world you would give someone red/pink gloves along with a dull gray glove. They could’ve picked any other color but gray. It’s nice to have two colors if you wanna keep one separate for the bathroom. Just wish the one pair of gloves was not gray. Otherwise, they do have a foldable lip to catch water from running down your arm. I’m still giving five stars because the price was good for two pair.

    O'Cedar Living Gloves are Perfect

O-Cedar Living Gloves are perfect for me as I'm in a constant battle protecting my sensitive skin, with eczema lurking about. I've used these gloves for years & they've failed to disappoint me. By having gloves in different colors, it's easy to keep my O'Cedar kitchen gloves separate from my cleaning gloves. For me, the gloves last at least 2-1/2 to 3 months, with my fingernails causing holes.

    Horrible

These are no better than disposable nitrile gloves. They offer no insulation protection from hot (or frigid) water and I don't feel any type of lining, flocking, or powder on the inside to prevent sticking. They are very hard to put on and take off. The fingers are extremely slim and form fitting, making them even more difficult to put on and take off. And, the material does not feel safe to use with light colors - I feel like the dark colors will transfer color.

    No Hot Water Protection

I purchased these to protect my hands from hot water when hand washing dishes. These gloves fail miserably at that task. I can easily feel both cold and hot water directly through them. So for my purposes, these were a big disappointment and a waste of money.

    Simply put: the best.

These are the gold standard for people who have to wash dishes by hand. They work. They are longer and very soft inside. I always put a little bit of baby powder in so that they will slip on my hands easily. I actually wash mine once a week in the washing machine. They hold up very nicely.
