OK, first of all, this shampoo smells like it's made with peppermint schnapps. It's a pretty obnoxious scent. I was not able to detect any tea tree in it either. Tea Tree is a pretty distinct scent, but maybe it is masked by the schnapps. I poured out the bottle and added lavender and tea tree to the shampoo and added it back to the bottle. Even having done that, I still can not smell the tea tree over the obnoxious mint scent. That being said, it seems to have started to relieve the head itching issues that my son and I have both had for the last few weeks. Neither of us have any dandruff, just some really annoying head "itchies." I don't believe that I would recommend this shampoo, unless I found that alternatives didn't work.

I've been using OGX products for well over 5 years now. However, I noticed that I started getting more scalp acne and general irritation—all of which I knew were caused by other unrelated factors. But I was worried about choosing new hair products. I was ecstatic to find out about the tea tree/mint shampoo and conditioner. Originally I was only able to find the conditioner, but after the fantastic results I got I just knew I HAD to get my hands on the shampoo the next time around. I finally have both and my scalp feels so great!
I have had oily hair all my life. After struggling to ignore it for years, I finally started using the one or two shampoos that came out for oily hair (Us oily-haired people know the struggle to find shampoos and conditioners MADE for oily hair), but I still wanted something better. I bought a recommended brand the other day in search of newer and better products, and it turned my hair to straw.....so this was the next best recommendation I could find. Let me tell you, this is the best shampoo I’ve ever had to handle my oily hair! It makes it feel salon soft and so healthy! This is only my second use and I could not be happier with how my hair has transformed. The smell isn’t the best, reminding me of cleaner, but it smells great once your hair is dry and you don’t really notice it much. For the cost, the performance is unbeatable and I’m sold for a long time to come! I know everyone’s hair is unique but if you’re struggling with very oily hair, try this shampoo and conditioner out. For me, it’s a life-saver.
This product says it's "tingly" and refreshing to your scalp. No to both. No tingling sensation, no refreshing feel. Just an average, bad smelling shampoo. Maybe I got an old bottle?

Head & Shoulders works better for my dandruff. This unfortunately didn't work for me.

I don’t know if they have changed this formula or not, but I had purchased an OGX brand tea tree mint shampoo and conditioner that I loved. I had been using some different brands lately, but saw this on a shelf and got it because I had liked it so much before. The smell is horrific. It smells like you are washing your hair with pine sol. I was sorry I had even pity it on my hair and rinsed it out as fast as I could. Will never purchase again, and now I have to throw this entire bottle away.
