Book Synopsis

'Oh, dear, said the keeper, /what am I to do? / My critters have left me / alone at the zoo. Children will have a ball helping the keeper find a rhinoceros in the North End, a koala bear in Chinatown, and a penguin on Boston Common. Over 100 animals are hiding cleverly in beloved Beantown settings.

Sage Stossel, author of On the Loose in Boston, On the Loose in DC, and On the Loose in Philadelphia, is an Atlantic contributing editor and a cartoonist for the Boston Globe, the Atlantic.com, the Provincetown Banner (for which she received a New England Press Association Award), and elsewhere. Her cartoons have been featured by the New York Times, CNN Headline News, Best Editorial Cartoons of the Year, and other venues. Her graphic novel, Starling, was published in 2013.
