Review Quotes

"This could be a useful springboard toward a discussion about how everyday things are made or, more imaginatively, what stories the items around us might tell."--Kate Quealy-Gainer, Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books

"With help from a human author, a book retraces its journey from seed to codex...the earnest message about the value of books and stories is a lovely bonus."--Kirkus Reviews

Irreverent but also informational.--Betsy Bird, A Fuse #8 Production

About the Author

Eoin McLaughlin went to ten different schools (that's a lot) and was always that new kid. Along the way, he learned that if he could make people laugh, then things would generally be okay-so that's what he's carried on doing. Eoin has written for TV and advertisements, in addition to his many children's books.

Guilherme Karsten has been illustrating for children since 2010. After illustrating many books for other authors, Guilherme started writing his own books in 2017. Guilherme's work has been published worldwide and he continues to seek ways to entertain and delight children through his art and stories. Guilherme lives in Blumenau, Brazil.
