Q: Why would anybody use the 45 or 60 min dry cycle if there is a 30 min option? Does the 30 min cycle completely dry everything?

submitted by Targetshopper123123 - 5 years ago
  • A: Hi- We offer different cycle times for the actual amount of items you have unit. If the unit is full we would suggest the full time. If it is a light load then possibly the 30 would work for you. If you have any other questions please contact our Customer Service team at 888-396-6552. Thank you!

Q: /does this work for breast pump parts

submitted by ana beatriz - 5 years ago
  • A: I used a medella double electric breast pump and breastfed for almost a year- and cleaned my pump parts daily in this. (Would wash by hand and then put them in the Brezza to sterilize.

submitted byAndrea - 5 years ago
  • A: Hello, we do advise referring to your breast pump user manual before any sterilization. However, our unit does support the usage of breast pump accessories for sterilization. Should you have any other questions or concerns please reach out to us at 888-396-6552 or customerservice@babybrezza.com Thank you!

Q: Has anyone/can this be used this to clean an Elvie pump?

submitted by ahildreth - 7 months ago
  • A: If you can put Elvie pump parts in the dishwasher, then you can sterilize them. To confirm, we'd recommend contacting Elvie directly and asking them if their pump parts can be sterilized in a steam sterilizer.

Leaking Device

Momma Z - 17 days ago
I purchased this initially from Target with a 2yr warranty. When I got it home and used the sterilizer/dryer function, the device was leaking water all over my counter. I contacted Baby Brezza and received a replacement only to have the replacement do the same thing. Not worth the constant clean-up.
1 reply from Baby Brezza Team team - 15 days ago
We are very sorry to hear this and that it occured two times. Typically water can only leak when there is too much water added and it boils over. Were you carefully filling to make sure that the water didn't go over the fill line? Please contact Baby Brezza Customer Care so we can help troubleshoot this for you at 888-396-6552 or babybrezza.com/contact (7 days a week) .

The sterilizer worked until my baby was 9 weeks old then it started to leak water and not turn on any of the options to sterilize or dry. It was working great until then, did not do anything differently. Very disappointed with the product and I will be looking into other options.

Received this item as a gift and it’s honestly been one of our favorite/most essential baby products. I EP/bottle feed so this sterilizer gets a lot of use. The sterilizing cycle is only 5 minutes (not 30, like another reviewer has said) and drying cycles can be 30,45 or 60 minutes. We do the 45 minute drying time and all our bottles come out perfectly dry. Yes, you need to wipe clean the heating plate in it every time. While it’s probably not recommended, about once a week I take steel wool to it and it cleans the rust of really well. I personally rather do this than boil a pot of water (or do the microwave method) several times a day. Also, other reviewers have complained about water getting on the cabinets. Since this device produces steam and the steam does escape the unit, you’re going to deal with condensation. It has to go somewhere. If you don’t want it on your counter I suggest getting some sort of drip pan to set the device on. Also, do no put it directly under a cabinet! It could warp the material and/or take off paint. When used correctly and proper precautions are taken, this is an invaluable device for a parent of a young baby who uses bottles. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love this sterilizer/dryer however this is the second one I’ve had as the first one stopped working. I just had a baby 6 weeks ago and so we got another one and now the power button on this one is broke/won’t allow us to turn it on. So while this product work, it’s amazing but this is the second one we have had and it has already broke on us

Very slow and must run to cycles to get the bottles dry

Todd M - 3 months ago

within the last month I purchased one of the sterilizer dryer units before they had announced the 10 minute fast dryer sterilizer. The older unit takes 30 minutes to sterilize and typically another 30 minutes to dry. It works very well but it is inconvenient requiring multiple funnels to be purchased as well as extra bottles that I don’t absolutely need. I feel like I am constantly having to stay on top of where we are out in the sterilizing process so that we do not run out of bottles. I really think that those of us who just purchased a older sterilizer dryer before you are now receive a trade-in value or full return. It’s frustrating to see that there are reviews in which people are stating that they have had the faster dryer unit for five months when I purchased my unit a little over a month ago and it was not on the website at that time

This is the second time buying the one step sterlizer dryer to use for my second child. The first one I purchased was over 4 years ago. It stopped working a couple of weeks after the manufacturer guarantee experired. It seems a lot of people had the same experienced as I did. Crossing my fingers this product last longer than a year.

We love this sterilizer and dryer. My only question so far is when using the Dryer Only function, so I still need to add water to the hot plate? Or is that only necessary when sterilizing or sterilizing and drying? The directions, in my opinion, are not very clear on this topic. Besides that, we cannot be happier and we would absolutely recommend this product to all our friends!

This is such a great product if it didn’t rust after every use. I use distilled water as directed and still have to clean after every use.
1 reply from Baby Brezza Team team - 4 months ago
We are sorry that you are experiencing this but would like to troubleshoot this with you. What you're describing sounds like mineral scale -- it's not rust since the Sterilizer Dryer has a stainless steel heating plate that doesn't rust. We realize you indicate you're using distilled water which should be free of minerals but if this is happening after every use, then it has to be mineral scale which are minerals left behind on the heating plate after the water boils away. Over time the minerals cake onto the heating plate and discolor it which can look like rust. Please contact our Customer Care team so we can review a video or picture of this and better guide you to resolve it by calling 888-396-6552 or babybrezza.com/contact. Thanks.

I was very excited about this baby shower gift but it only lasted about a month until it stopped working on me. It beeps red and doesn’t turn on.
1 reply from Baby Brezza Team team - 4 months ago
We are sorry to hear this. When the machine beeps red, it means there isn't enough water on your Sterilizer's heater plate for the appliance to run properly. This can occur if you didn’t add enough water to begin the sterilization process or the appliance used up all of the water before the 8 minute sterilization cycle finished. It could also mean that your heating plate is covered in mineral scale which affects its performance. To address, please let the Sterilizer Dryer fully cool, then descale your heating plate and add 4 ounces of water. Then try the appliance again. If the Sterilizer Dryer begins working, then the issue is resolved. If it doesn’t, then your Sterilizer Dryer has a more serious issue that will need to be addressed by our Customer Care Team. You can contact our Customer Care team at 888-396-6552 or babybrezza.com/contact. We are available 7 days a week to troubleshoot this issue and resolve it. Also keep in mind that all Baby Brezza appliances have a 1 year limited warranty so if your machine needs to be repaired/replaced, we will do this for free. Sorry again for this inconvenience.

Rusted on the inside after only having for 1 month
1 reply from Baby Brezza Team team - 5 months ago
Since the Sterilizer Dryer has a strainless steel heating plate, this is likely mineral scale, not rust. Mineral scale looks a lot like rust and can be easily cleaned off with a vinegar/water solution or using the Baby Brezza Descaler. Feel free to visit BabyBrezza.com to find out more information about how to descale. If you want to avoid scale altogether, we recommend using distilled water.

I’ve bought this sterilizer twice. It does a good job sterilizing but like some of the other reviewers mentioned, it would leak water everywhere and the hot plate would rust very quickly. It’s quite disappointing considering the price point.
