Q: Has this product changed? I ordered what’s pictured, but it arrived with “new” printed on the box and no longer says “Glide threader floss” just “threader floss.” It’s also made of cotton like fibers that look like they’ll snag on my wire! Very annoying!

A: Exactly what I found. Wish I would’ve read this before I purchased. The packaging is nice with a colored threader on each end and multiple contained in each envelope. But the floss itself snags and makes fingernails on chalkboard sounds and feels terrible between my teeth.

I used the original for years because it’s the only thing that worked around my implants without snagging and shredding. This stuff is a nightmare. It got caught and I had to use tweezers to get it out more than once. And I swear some got stuck and I ended up with soreness until it worked its way out. IMO it is not a safe product.

It had higher ratings for the PREVIOUS style of flossing but they have changed it sometime in August 2024. Now the new flossing is completely useless. There are no good reviews since August 20th…therefore, it tack the version onto the previous ratings are MISLEADING! Shame on you Oral B.

It broke while I was flossing and now it’s stuck between my permanent retainer and my tooth. It feels uncomfortable. I deserve my money back for this pain and suffering. Terrible product. Who even designed this? Satan that’s who. Please never ever EVER buy this. You will hate yourself for spending your hard earned money on this. I wish I could go back in time and avoid using this.

Not sure why they started making these so bad. They were fine before, then the packaging and Floss changed. The Floss starts ripping apart while you are using it, then you get little strands stuck in your teeth. I used to use these regularly before the change.

“New” threader floss SUCKS
Let me preface this by saying the “old” threader floss worked great. I just opened a new package today and realized it had completely changed. The floss can’t get in between my teeth and broke because of the extra pressure I had to use. I’ll be returning mine and looking for an alternative. What an awful mistake by a company I had great faith in.

The New Version of this Product is a Travesty.
The old version of this floss was relatively rigid, making it easy to get between your teeth, and the floss itself was a strong enough that I couldn't picture it snapping without serious effort. The new version is garbage. The threader itself is floppier and harder to use. The "cushioning" has as much structural integrity as a piece of cotton and frays/breaks very easily. Before, I would have happily stockpiled it, but now it isn't worth buying.

Used to be great
The previous design was amazing. This new design is horrible. It breaks, and gets stuck in your teeth. It's way to thick, too. I'm extremely dissappointed with the change.

“New” version is unacceptable
Very unhappy with the new version. This product shreds, breaks, and leaves fibers trapped in between teeth. I’m currently fighting to try and gently remove fibers that have been trapped between my back molars for over a day now. You already had a “fluffly” threader/flosser version available for those who prefer that type of floss, so I’m confused as to why you felt you needed to add a second. Swing and a miss on this one, R & D.

Bring Back The Original!
This is, without a doubt, the poorest excuse for threader floss and I would give it a zero if possible. Whoever decided the original Glide Pro-Health threader floss should be replaced with this needs to be tossed out the door at P&G. Bring back the original Glide Pro-Health threader floss!

I would give it 0 stars if I could. This product is a complete waste of money. It’s a terrible replacement and doesn’t work for what I needed. On top of that, it’s a waste of time having to go back and get something else that actually works. I hope I can return it and get my money back.

Terrible replacement product - "not usable"
I would give it no stars if I could. This is a terrible replacement to the Glide Pro Health. Bring back the GLIDE threaders this new floss is too thick to use between bridges. It shreds and is almost impossible to remove the residual shredded threads. Had to find a pair of tweezers. I have discarded the three boxes I had bought. PLEASE go back to the original

Painful to Use
It’s awful! I used the threader floss they used to sell to floss my teeth where I have a permanent retainer bar. This new floss gets painfully stuck between my teeth and bar. It doesn’t work at all. Bring back the original threader floss!
