I opened the bag with hope in my eyes, Expecting a crunch, a sweet, crisp prize. But horror awaits in this yellow decay, A swamp-scented nightmare that ruined my day. Mushy, slimy, rotten to the core, Not food at all—just trash to abhor. Green fuzz creeping, mold taking hold, A crime in a bag, disgraceful and bold. No chip, no snack, no joy to be found, Just gagging disgust as I threw it down. A health risk wrapped in plastic disguise— Banana chips? No—banana lies.

Used to be good
I got these back in 2020 and they were so good. I noticed they weren’t in store any more after that. Now in 2024, I found them and I bought them. They did not look like this back then. I opened the back and these looked rotten. Will not be buying again.

These look rotten...
I was expecting banana chips, not soft dried bananas. Once I felt the bag and realized they were soft instead of crunchy, I started wondering how in the world they stayed fresh... Sure enough, they aren't fresh. At least not fresh enough for me to feel comfortable eating them. These are past eating and might even be beyond "banana bread territory" lol. I'll be honest, I didn't taste one. They smell like the overripe moldy bananas that they appear to be.

I’m not sure what they’re supposed to look like, but I buy dried and dehydrated bananas frequently and I’ve never had any that look like this. I have 2 bags I bought at the same time and they’re both like this. Looks nothing like the pic on the bag.

Rotten and black
Besides the bad smell that came out of the bag right after opening, these black cubes have nothing to do with dry bananas. They are rotten and mushy. My daughter complained and ate 5 before I looked at them. Now I am worried she will get sick. Unsafe and disgusting product. A handful of spoiled fruit for $5! Expiration date is November 22, 2024. Today's date is March 4, 2024. This is the third time I am extremely disappointed at Good & Gather brand and ultimately Target. (See photos)
