So wanted to like this Good & Gather organic item. Upon opening the container (expiration still 7 months away), it smells like chemicals -- like plastic or candle wax. Since it contains sunflower oil, I'm guessing the oil went rancid. Perhaps it was left on a hot truck too long? There are other successful (although not organic) bread crumb brands that contain no oil; perhaps an ingredient change would help? I will be returning this item.

Overall, good product. I would have preferred a slightly healthier version.. for example whole wheat flour, and no added sugar or salt. But those are not present in high amount per serving unless using for a breading or filler. If merely used as a coating, such as for frying, it will be even less noticeable in your final recipe. You may want to check your expiration date as this may not be a high turnover item in some places.
