Q: Do these have casings? I prefer hot dogs with casings but they are hard to find. If these don't have casings

A: Our meats are smoked and fully cooked, then sliced and packaged. We use a cellulose casing to give shape to our links and cold cuts during the cooking and smoking process. However, this casing is removed after processing and before product is packaged.

A: Great Question! Please note that nitrate and nitrite are closely related chemically. They are different compounds made from nitrogen and oxygen and are used in curing meats. They have been used to preserve color in packaged, cured meats. A secondary benefit is their ability to prevent the growth of bacteria that causes botulism. Hot dogs that do not contain sodium nitrite as a food additive are considered to be “uncured” by the USDA. We hope this helps.

There are no fillers and no by-products used at all, just 100% beef! Once you’ve tried these you won’t buy the others. My kids also loved these and said that they tasted so much better than the regular ones. I definitely recommend!

I usually opt for a different food when the boys eat "glizzies" for dinner but I joined tonight to review. The packaging is attractive in the store, the texture of the all beef is nice, not mushy- even a slight snap if you cook it on the grill or flat top. My boys both eat 2, but one with some chips was more than enough for me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family loves hot dogs. We like them by themselves as well as sliced up with another item (like sautéed pierogies). The beef hot dogs taste delicious in any method of cooking. They fry up perfectly and get a great crisp to them. 10 hotdogs is perfect for our family of four and I love that the package fits perfectly in a ziploc to keep sealed.
