Otto Ginko Leaf Side Table - FOX2595A - Gold/Clear - Safavieh Couture

Extremely disappointed in this table. Instructions were easy, but poorly placed (pro tip: take everything out, and match the colored stickers... why anyone would not give them numbers or alphabetical numbers is beyond me). It was quick to assemble, maybe 5 minutes, because it only requires screwing on the table legs. However, the biggest problem I have was with the poorly done paint / finish job. I knew this table had a gold leaf finish, but I didn't think they meant it literally. For those of you who aren't sure what gold leaf is... it's the gold they use in cakes, and crafts: Gold foil. Gold flecks started falling everywhere, from the first touch, so I don't think this table was built to last - or even past 2 house moves. The manufacturer should have stuck with just gold paint or even brass, rather than mixing it with poorly applied gold foil. Once assembled, the table was also wobbly and unbalanced. I tried unscrewing various legs and changing them, for about 30 mins, which seemed to make the problem worse. Eventually I accepted that one of the legs just wouldn't touch the floor. Overall, the table looks beautiful, unique, and probably works better in someone's living room (not a bedroom, like I was trying), but the poor paint job and other flaws make me feel this table was very overpriced. I wouldn't pay more than $60 for it, especially when the material beneath it is simply gray iron. Even IKEA has better instructions. I am going to see how the table looks in the daylight, but will probably return it.

This table looks just as gorgeous in person! Easy to put together and everyone who sees it loves it, I get so many compliments! Very happy with my purchase.
