Q: Hello, does this rust?
A: The chairs and bench collect rainwater and spill rusty water when moved. I love the look so much, though, that I have kept them but make sure to have the hose handy when I move the chairs on our dark-colored deck after rainy weather. If you have the chairs on light-colored concrete or decking, you'll probably have an issue.

submitted byTarget Team Member - 9 years agoTarget staff supportA: I purchased this item and sadly I had horrible issues with rust. It cannot be exposed to rain at all. Unfortunately, water collects and sits inside the metal tubing. Then when you later move the bench it leaks rusty water. This was so bad that it stained my deck. Although the bench is otherwise attractive, it should not be used outdoors unless on a covered porch where it will NOT be exposed to any rain.

A: Comes as a single piece, all welded together! Nice and sturdy, I'd buy it again. Everyone loves it.

Q: Does it have gaps on the back side of the seat? it shows the project 62 bench, this new one is threshold and is much longer and has the gaps which I am not a fan of. The pictures are deceiving
