Sam Goldstein, PhD, is a member of the faculty at the University ofUtah and a nationally recognized expert in child development. Hehas published eight previous books as well as numerous scientificarticles and videos. His books for parents include Hyperactivity: Why Won't My Child Pay Attention? and Lonely, Sad and Angry: AParent's Guide to Depression in Children and Adolescents.

Nancy Mather, PhD, is Adjunct Associate Professor at the Universityof Arizona in Tucson, where she teaches courses in the diagnosisand instruction of children with learning problems. She hasauthored three previous books and numerous educational articles
