This compost bin is perfect—sleek, compact, and actually keeps the smell in! The lid is super easy to open with one hand while cooking, and cleaning it is a breeze. I use the 1.75-gallon size and empty it every couple of days. No charcoal filter, but still no odor issues. It is compatible with bags, but I just throw food directly into the container and then rinse when I empty it. Price point is maybe slightly high, but I couldn't find anything better at this price. Highly recommend!

I originally had a 1 gallon “metal can” style compost bin with charcoal filters in the lid. It worked for a while but just got sooo gross, and was hard to clean. Switching to this one has been great. Things I love…. 1. The bag stays in place with the rim to hold it 2. The lid is attached.. no more gross kid sitting on the counter while you’re peeling potatoes 3. The lid also detaches for easy cleaning 4. The lid is not deep.. our old one had a deep rimmed lid that resulted in it pressing into the nasty compost and getting stuff stuck all over the edges. 5. Comfortable carry handle 6. EASY to clean. 7. Somehow, despite no filter, it hasn’t gotten stinky.

Squat instead of tall so it easily rests on our counter and is well below the cabinets. Smart design with putting a 3-gallon compost bag in and the lid cover holds it in place. Internal bucket comes out with a handle too.
