A: Hello! We do not recommend using the 3.5qt Colander for steaming vegetables. Although this item is made from heat resistant silicone, direct contact with a pot or pan could cause damage to the item.

Storage
I love this strainer. It closes up for small storage. It has strong durability. It’s super easy to clean. In my opinion I like these more than the plastic ones. Fits in small spaces and a lot easier to clean. Plus dishwasher safe.

Like the space saving concept of this item, but the bottom holes are not large enough and therefore doesn't drain well. There is residual water at the the bottom of the container when I rinse my fruits or veggies. The bottom holes need to be a bit larger for proper drainage.
