A: Hello! Our 8" Strainer is able to be used for this purpose. However, depending on the juice or milk, the mesh may not be fine enough for certain uses.

Q: I have this but the handle just broke in half. It doesn’t seem like it’s reinforced well. If there’s any weight like pasta overtime it weakens the handle. Has this been remedied?

Q: Is 8 inches the inside or outside dimensions of the strainer? I have a strainer I loved that the handle broke on it. The inside is a full 7 inches wide, x 3.75 deep not counting the rim.

Lasted exactly 4 months before the plastic around the wire mesh cracked and broke. For reference, my previous Winco strainer lasted 14 years. I’m going back to that brand and their stainless steel construction.
