The OXO SoftWorks Silicone Pressure Cooker Steamer is perfect for steaming just about anything in any pot or pressure cooker 7" in diameter in up. Simply place the Steamer inside, and the walls flex to fit. The tall feet and high walls keep the Steamer elevated above water and the food contained. The flat, open body accommodates larger food like fish filets, and the flexible handles lock into place above food and under lids. The heat-resistant silicone handles cool quickly so you can remove the Steamer easily, and when you're done, the Steamer rolls up neatly for compact storage.
This steamer holds a lot of veggies, etc. You can safely remove hot items. It is easy to clean. It stores easoly when rolled up. I like silicone products for my instant pot. They can take the heat and are safe to handle when hot.
Got it to use in my 6 qt Instant Pot. Have used it twice so far and very happy. It fits a bit snug so I need to push it down to have the feet on the bottom of the inner pot. After use I just I put it on the top rack of my dishwasher .
I use this as my everyday steamer for vegetables in my non-stick cookware. Works great, except it takes a little practice to get the correct water level from boiling over the edge. It’s definitely improved from the first generation of silicone steamers.
Works GREAT. HOWEVER, it smells like what you cooked last. So after using it, washing it in the dishwasher and putting it away, my cupboard smells like stinky leaks. Bummer and a waste of money. If you don't mind smelling up your cupboard, it's great.
