Not worth it
I purchased this product because i was traveling and needed a smaller spray bottle than others brands sell (even though it costs more than comparable products). While the 3 oz is a great size, the actual spray did not work very well. It left the hair feeling very heavy and greasy without providing texture or volume. fyi, the Not Your Mothers brand of this is much better!

Horrible smell
I bought this without realizing that this has banana in it, i thought it was such a weird choice of fragrance for a salt water hair spray but i still tried it. It smell SO BAD, the smell of banana is so overwhelming, it feel super cheap and full of chemical. Seriously, why ? Of all fruits, why would you choose to put banana in your product ? Who get ready in the morning and goes "hmmm i really wanna smell like banana right now" That's so not sexy.

Because of an upcoming surgery, I wasn’t able to get this back to the store for return. However, if you’re looking to get beach waves from this spray, think again. I get beachy waves from some natural waves in my hair, as long as I don’t use a smoothing conditioner. I bought this for a tropical vaca, and wasn’t bringing my usual conditioner, so wanted to make sure I got waves. This did nothing. I used as directed, but it just doesn’t work. I thought the price would be justified by results, however this was just a glorified wet spray. Look elsewhere for beachy waves.

Works so well!
I have wavy hair and encourage the wave with Salty Waves spray and balm. I apply to damp hair and either sleep on it or just allow to air dry. Never crunchy, always naturally happy waves. Great products.

I had been eyeing this for a few weeks so when I saw that it went on sale I decided to give it a try! Smells really good but didn’t really give me the beachy hair I was hoping for. Made my hair kind of stiff and tangled feeling. :( going to try it after my hair dries a little more from washing and see if that makes a difference.

Root lift
I personally like this product for thicker texture at the root. I only use it on dry hair (before hairspray) and I spray once under a section of my hair, tease it a little with your fingertips, let dry (like a minute and tease again if needed) and style. It shouldn’t look like a rats nest if done right. Everyone has different hair so you might have to mess around with it at first to get the look you want. I also like to do this before styling a high pony or semi pony for extra thicker-looking hair. fyi: type 2a hair

Did nothing. Waste of money.
This spray did absolutely nothing. Judging by its price, I just assumed this product was going to have at least SOME capability of accentuating the natural waves that I have in my hair. But I’m not even exaggerating when I say it literally did nothing. It really didn’t even smell all that good either. Don’t waste your money.
