PATTERN Hair Pick - Ulta Beauty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Pattern Hair Pick . . . in concept. The matte black is sleek in a sophisticated way and the indentation for gripping it is perfectly placed. My ONLY issue is the size. My hair is 3-4 inches - longer than a TWA but not yet mid-length - and the pick is too big for me to use effectively. It's also a little too big for my hands. A mini version, like the Pattern mini wide tooth comb I love, would be the styling tool I need to lift these roots to perfection.

Good value for the price. The comb has long tines that are more on the thin side. I have medium-ish length, type 2 and 3 curls. I use it for styling and finishing but not for detangling.

I love the Hair Pick for just lifting my Curly Tapered Cut Hair for volume!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I SO wanted to give this product a five star review. The product works perfectly on my 10-year-old son’s curly hair. He’s mixed half Jamaican quarter Filipino and a quarter white and has curly hair before this product. His hair was lacking moisture, was tangled all the time and did not live up to its full potential. This product has worked wonders and I love it. I bought the 25 ounce leave in conditioner, but the pump is broken unfortunately. Normally this wouldn’t matter so much, but his hair dries very quickly and it’s just challenging to get the product out of the container. Not a dealbreaker, but just can’t leave a five star review. Based on that fact, the product is great though and I’m overall happy.

I received the black hair pick as a free gift and the teeth broke with the first use. It is so flimsy. My tight coils ate it on the first use. Glad it was free because i would HATE to have paid for that!

You can’t grip this well !! My hand hurts! For “detangling” I guess it worked BUT I had to try really hard and all my tangled hair ended up coming off my scalp. Not sure if that’s normal since I haven’t brushed / combed in a long time. BUT gripping is so difficult even regular tangled hair will leave you with hand pain!!! I also have bigger hands as well!

The matte finish flakes off and snags the hair, leaves bits of black plastic in your hair. That is very poor quality for the price. Fix the finish and they may have a good product on their hands.

MY SON LOVED THIS HAIR PICK. HE STATED BY FAR THE BEST ONE HE HAS EVER USED.

The teeth are long enough, it's sleek, and you get a velvet pouch to protect it. I use it to break my gel cast and reshape in the morning. It works perfectly for both and I liked it so much I bought another one for my go bag.

Better than I expected.

I gave it three stars because it is a great price, but this pick is HUGE! One of the largest picks I have ever seen. My hands are small so using this large pick is difficult.

I needed a new brush. So I bought the brush and decided to make a matching set, so I got the comb, and pick. The pick is so flimsy and hard to grip. One of the teeth broke in less than 30 days. I love the brush though.
