At that time I invested in other product lines that are know to be suitable for relaxed hair. One wash day I reach for my leftover hydration shampoo and was pleasantly surprised by how well my hair still responded. While I know Pattern is designed for natural textures, I notice less shedding during my wash days when I use the Hydration Shampoo vs some of the other popular brands.

I started using this about 3 months ago. For better understanding, I have very dense & very thick/type 4/low porosity hair. I get really bad product buildup and since my hair has gotten longer, it's been really hard to find a proper cleaser that weaves it's way through each strand, leaves my scalp free of residue, and doesn't strip my hair of moisture. This one is it! Will be my go to weeekly shampoo from here on out!

My texture went from tight ringlets to very loose waves. I hated it!. By the 6th week of using this along with the Intensive Conditioner, my shed hair is about 20% of what it used to be. The curls are not the ringlets they used to be, but it has more elasticity and the waves are tighter.
