I just got this, so I'll try to update this review as time goes on. I don't have a cat yet, but am making preparations. It looks nice and is reasonably sturdy! It has adjustable plastic feet so you can keep it level and be less likely to damage your floors. All the pieces arrived and most were in good condition. Given the price of furniture these days, it seems worth the $110 spent to have both a cat bed and a nightstand. It is large enough for a small dog, and the metal door moves side on a track. The pillow provided is soft, but thin. Might put a small throw blanket underneath. Two brackets on one of the metal pieces were shoddily welded on and broke of as I was taking them out of the box. The rest of the brackets were fine and looked properly machined, but these two looked hastily added. So, the wooden slab on the left side is not secure. I can secure it myself, but it's disappointing. I enjoy putting furniture together and the directions were not clear at certain points! There are two almost identical metal pieces that brace the sides, and it was difficult to tell which one went where, so I ended up taking nearly the whole thing apart twice figuring it out. For reference, both have a bar in the middle that are the same size, but one has the bar laying flat (that goes on the bottom) and the other has the bar on it's side and has a screw in the middle. Once the wooden shelves are added, that top metal bar lays next to the curved wooden piece with the screw hole.
