A: No way. For counter tops, go with contact paper all the way as it's vinyl (or similar material) and not paper. This would not hold up anywhere else but on the wall; where it looks great by the way.

A: I wanted to add my experience seeing that I have ever so slightly textured walls which I generally prefer over totally smooth walls in the first place and which at least where I live, are rarely found in living spaces anymore. Don't get me started on popcorn ceilings either! Anyway, I decided to risk using this on my wall and it looks great! Sure, when you get close you can see the wall texture but it's not poking through or anything and it's obvious that the texture is simply from the wall! I think the most important thing that ensures a good application is a clean (and dry) surface and definitely enlist the help of an extra person. It's so much easier. Once again, I'm sure that this does apply best to smooth walls, however, if you've got just a bit of texture, I think it also applies just fine, as textured walls should still be even. Also, while you can re-position it while hanging initially and it does remove nicely, it is not reusable multiple times over different areas. Once it's used, it's used. And make sure you measure right; I ended up buying four rolls for what I thought was a small wall but since I had measured, everything was covered adequately and without panic. Really great option for renters.

This is very low quality "wallpaper". I have used several of the Opalhouse wallpapers from the store, which have been great. This one had to be ordered and is not remotely the same quality. It is thin, nearly see-through. It stretches while you try to hang and then shrinks. I thought I could live with some of the resulting shrinkage gaps, 5 after a month, it is literally falling off the wall. The pattern is beautiful, but this is only usable as drawer liner, not a wallpaper.

The quality of peel-and-stick wallpaper varies GREATLY from brand to brand and depending on your wall prep (texture, paint finish, cleanliness, etc.), and it's nearly impossible to gauge the quality without slapping up some samples for a few weeks. I've sampled a lot of wallpaper-- a LOT. And while there are p&s brands out there that are thicker and easier to work with, Target's Opalhouse brand is pretty darn good. I bought the peacock pattern on a whim to use in my entry hallway, and I'm very glad I did. The thickness is decent, the longevity is impressive and the pattern is gorgeous. I hung this with the help of another person and a sturdy ladder back in 2021, and there's been no movement or bubbling as of today in late 2024! Some tips that helped: Measure your walls accurately and buy more than you think you'll need to accommodate matching and mistakes. Lay out your rolls and match patterns on the floor before starting. Begin in one corner of the room and work sideways. Use a wallpaper squeegee to slowly smooth bubbles as you go. Use a very sharp boxcutter to trim the top and bottom edges alongside a hard, thin, flat surface (like a metal yardstick).

This wallpaper is really thin and it wrinkled and I could never get them out. It also had a lot of bubbles. Not a quality product and do not recommend.

If so, we do suggest wiping the wall with a 1:1 water + isopropyl alcohol solution before installation. We also recommend installing the product on a smooth wall that has been primed and painted with either an eggshell, satin, or semi-gloss paint. This wallpaper is so much prettier in person. The background is muted white with pink flowers that have a warm hue almost pinky peachy/coral. The peacocks are teal green, aqua and cobalt blue with light gold metallic touches around the cobalt blue dots of the peacock feathers and a touch of gold around the peacocks feet and belly area. subtle and super pretty! The peacock and cage area is approximately the size of my hand.

Super cool wallpaper. Easy to use. Down side of the peel and stick is that if you make a mistake it stretches the paper. Either way results look good and I even cut out a couple peacocks for the ceiling.

Beautiful pattern but it doesn’t line up so your seams will be super noticeable. It looks nice on my wall from far away but I’d steer clear if you’re a perfectionist!

Hello, thank you for leaving a review. Some patterns are more difficult than others to align but they are all doable. If you are having trouble aligning a pattern we recommend starting in the middle of the wall (at eye level) and moving up and down the panel from there. We also recommend that each panel is slightly over lapped, this will also help with aligning each pattern and with reducing any seams that appear.

I consider myself a handy person around the house but working with this is (in my best Jean-Ralphio) the wooorst! The bubbles and creases were very difficult to get out and were easy to see because of the white background. The wallpaper itself is beautiful and looks great in our bathroom but may not be the best option if you're a perfectionist as there will be some imperfections.

I thought this was pretty straightforward to put up, but I specifically chose a project where I wouldn't have to line things up. The pattern is quite detailed and there is no grid printed on the backing paper, so cutting can be challenging--make sure you have a 24" straightedge and sharp boxcutter/x-acto knife/rotary cutter. I really love the finished result. As far as aesthetics are concerned, be aware that this paper has a matte metallic silver highlight on the peacock feathers which might not be attractive for everyone and which is kinda tough to see in photos.

So pretty! So I ordered this by Opal House and another by Brewster. My installer said the Brewster is a better product. This peacock is pretty but not much adhesive. I do have some texture on my wall and so word of caution, it seems the texture creates air which causes the strips to "shrink" so if you align exactly know that in a few minutes time there will be a small space. Therefore, I would suggest overlapping just tad. In my case my installer is going to glue down I think? Not sure; or maybe we just reinstall with some overlap. I'd love to hear if anyone overlapped ever so slightly just because? Anyway, it looks great and I am pleased. Just wish my house didn't have textured walls.

Exactly how I envisioned it. Overall easy to apply - though you really need 2 people to make the job go quicker in my opinion. It doesn't always line up perfectly perfectly, but it would be very difficult to see that it isn't - we are talking about an 1/8 inch or something and only when you zoom in on it. I did a big bedroom wall. It took 5 rolls of paper - my only comment/complaint - is that it says the roll is 16 and a half feet. My ceilings are 8 feets - so i figured that it could use one roll for 2 strips. What happens though - is when you line it up - you lose anywhere from 8 inches to about 1 and a half feet - so the result is that at the bottom it doesn't meet the floor. I have my bed there, so it isn't a huge deal - and of course you can always buy another roll to sort of patch together a piece at the bottom - but just a word of advice - if you have it in your budget - you'll waste a lot of paper - but if you want it to be perfect top to perfect bottom - you kind of need a roll for each strip - or you'll need to do a lot of matching and cutting. As I said - i have furniture - and I'm not OCD so i'm happy with it - but it could upset some people or if the wall is totally visible. The look is awesome though and I am super happy with my stylist bedroom!

I am living in Paris that has a bathroom with one inch square terra cotta tiles almost everywhere - it's the ugliest thing you can imagine. I bought this paper when it was on sale along with the matching shower curtain to tone down all that orange. It actually works and turned out great. I did it by myself and despite not having all the tools I needed it still looks great. Very pleased with the relative ease of installing and especially how it turned out.

I love the wallpaper itself, was fairly easy to put up. The biggest downside to me was it hardly covered any of the wall with a whole roll. It would be pretty pricey to do a big wall. I did a small back closet wall and it took 2 rolls.
