    Peet's High-End Donut Shop Parrot That Talks Back

    Very low acidity single origin coffee - lacks any complex flavors and is mostly sweet and nutty and simple. Think the perfect donut shop blend - middle ground, appealing to the typical American palate. I like this coffee a lot - it is simple, straightforward, and familiar - and the quality of the beans is quite high. If you wanted a coffee that would please everyone except James Hoffman it would be this one. This is likely Peet's most accessible coffee. The reason is that Brazil and Colombia to a lesser extent form about 70% of the coffee market consumed in the US in all kinds of supermarket coffees and instant. This one will taste familiar. True Medium my bag the Agtron was right around 48. Not a ton of off-gassing.

    decline in quality!!!!

    This used to be my favorite coffee for years but something has changed with the flavor last year. It no longer has the hazelnut or caramel notes. It has no flavor anymore. Very disappointed. Will not repurchase.

    Actually Has Flavor

    Unlike the other roast from this same colored bag, this one gas actual flavor and tastes like the price point. Recommend for a regular - medium roast coffee lover.

    Breezy Bright Brazillian Delight

    We brewed this as espresso, a pour over and cold brew. Each cup had it's distinct characteristics, each delicious. The espresso definitely brings out the caramel sweetness, as a pour over we tasted a hint of the nuttiness and fruit. As cold brew this coffee is very refreshing, the hazelnut flavor becomes more pronounced as does the tangy cherry flavor. You won't be sorry you tried this smooth flavorful coffee.

    Not for Me

    I just can't get the flavor I want from this roast. I have tried grinding coarser, grinding finer, using more and fewer grams in my morning brew. These beans just don't cut it. Thumbs down.

    Bold, strong, great for French press

    This is delicious coffee and as someone who has spent years in Brasil, this is the real deal. Would buy again. Strong, bold flavor. Great for early mornings, cold times,and for those who enjoy full bodies coffee. Best with French press IMO

    Hazelnut flavor is the main attribute

    I started using this Peets coffee in my bean mix for espresso when it was called Minas Naturales. At the time, it had a very distinctive roasted hazelnut flavor. That flavor is still present, but, sadly, much weaker. Still, I have not found a good replacement to supply a nutty taste to my espresso and so I continue to use it.
