Q: This states there’s a dimmer. My switch is only on/off. No dimming option. What gives?
A: This lamp does not dim as advertised. If lamp purchased WITHOUT bulb is different and dims, should state that. There is NO on/off on cord

There is an on-off switch at the top of the pole, but it isn't a dimmer or a three way. The included light bulb isn't bright enough
submitted bymacguido - 4 years agoA: You likely need to have a special lightbulb for the dimmer to function. I am using a 40 Watt warm bulb and it's perfect.

submitted byLaura - 7 years agoA: Philip, the knob near the top of the base pole doe NOT dim the light. It adjusts the height of the lamp, it can tilt lower or higher on, like a see saw/teeter-totter.
submitted byRuby - 4 years agoA: The switch near the top dims the light. However you have to make sure you have a dimmable bulb screwed in. A regular big l bulb won't be dimmable.

Q: Does this lamp have a diffuser on the shade
A: I just received the lamp, and yes, there is a diffuser that goes on the bottom of the shade.

Q: Had the lamp for over a year, I don't use it often. Went to turn it on today and knob broke, is this common or fixable?
A: The knob broke off of our lamp within a few months. We have just been turning the lamp off and on with the stem that the knob was attached to :(

Q: How do I use and find the dimmer on this lamp?

Q: Confused about the conflicting bulb and wattage info here. Description says CFL is included, then says LED bulb is included. Further down it indicates 120 watts, which is not possible with either.
A: Hi Winnie - Thanks for checking in on this great lamp. The lamp includes an energy efficient light bulb and works with a max 150 wattage Incandescent light bulb. Hope this clears things up. - Jenny

Q: The specifications state, "dimmer switch". Does this mean this lamp will take a 3-way bulb (maximum wattage 150) and allow the user to switch between low, medium, and high brightness?
A: No. It's is a standard bulb that the switch will dim.
submitted byDM - 8 years agoA: No they meandimmer like the knob turns slowly adjusting from very soft to bright, using one normal bulb. It's great, but our knob broke off. :(
submitted byOlga - 8 years agoA: It's not a three way switch, but rather a knob that twists from low to high for the dimming, like a volume knob on a stereo. I have a dimmable LED bulb in mine and it works, but produces a minor humming sound (which most dimmable LEDs do I guess ) and it will also flicker occasionally. Overall I love the lamp though. Very high end looking for the price!

Q: Can you post assembly instructions? I can't get the lamp as high as the specifications say, so wonder what I did wrong (though I don't have the instructions any more).

Q: what kind of light bulb can i use for this?
A: Hi Cara. You can use any incandescent bulb with wattage of 150w or less, or any CFL or LED bulb with equivalent wattage.
