Description
Like elephants whose size is imposing, Petite Petit is large! A blend of 85% Petite Sirah and 15% Petit Verdot, this wine offers a joyous explosion of color and fun. It is a substantial, dense, full-bodied, whopper style of wine loaded with pure black fruit and vanilla flavors that coat the palate. It reveals remarkable richness with a finish that is slightly dry and seems to linger.

Bold & jammy…surprisingly complex and good value.

I was expecting a total fruit bomb without much distinction. I was completely wrong. I love how approachable the wine is and was surprised by its complexity. I would 100% recommend this wine. It is a crowd pleaser and really good with BBQ!
Great little wine!!

Bought a bottle this past week and opened today. Had the distinct taste and odor of being over oxidized (like a cheap port, and not in a good way). Couldn’t drink it at all. Bottle seemed well sealed, so was very surprised.
Used to be my favorite Wine

I’m not sure what happened but this vintage should never have been bottled. It has lost all its luster. At first I returned my bottles thinking it was a off case but have bought more and it’s not good. Michael David lost a customer.

I first enjoyed this wine many years ago with a Mediterranean lamb dinner and it was complex, nuanced and delicious. The new vintage is almost off-dry, with notes of actual grape juice (another reviewer called it ‘vine juice’. It’s lost all of the complexity and depth in favor of a smooth, jammy pop of sugar. Not for me - the reviewer who said this would do well for entry level wine drinkers is correct.
Was amazing until it wasn’t…

I’ve been buying Petite Petite for several years now and have always enjoyed it. This last case I bought is not good. The complexity of flavor is missing, The texture is way too thick. I feel like I’m drinking vine juice. It’s really unfortunate because I thought I’d be a consumer of this wine for a long time.
Worth it based on quality, bottle AND label!

The first taste of Michael David wines was on our honeymoon to Steamboat Springs, CO. We ordered a glass of Petite Petit, and it was love at first taste. This is still one of our favorites.
