Love this feeder! Bought second one. Controls when pet eats, no more howling the morning. Can feed less than 1/4 cup. No issues with tray or cat pushing. Instructions unclear. Bought second unit convenience. Just plug in feeding times. Tray rotates at set times. Great buy!

I bought one of these, because I needed a way to feed cat while away for work. It worked well. I went to buy a 2nd one for a 2nd home, and the price sky rocketed. Not only that, they charged extra for the AC plug, which stopped working only a few months after I bought it. Disappointing way to deal with an otherwise decent product.

My cats reach their paws up the chute, get their nails on the flaps and pull for the next bit of food. Overall I love this product, my cats are gobblers and they vomit if they eat more than 1/8 cup at a time. So this lets me feed the 5 times a day without having to be home.

I bought this feeder for my cat two years ago, and have loved it ever since. My cat would eat so much dry food he would just throw up. I tried slow feeder bowls, but I am not home during the day and cannot do this. This feeder has been the best solution. It definitely takes a little practice to set meals and times - keep the manual around for when you replace batteries or have to change the time or meals. Also, the clock will slowly get out of time, so every few months you have to fix it. Overall, I've loved it and had less issues than with other feeders. HOWEVER, I really wish Pet Safe had an option for smaller portions for cats. I would love to be able to feed more portions during the day, with less food. Or feed less dry food overall.

We purchased one over 10 years ago and it has worked pretty much flawlessly,-- however, I say this only because batteries do wear out. This has been one of the BEST purchases we have ever made and while we are about ready to buy another one simply because of how long we have had it, all I could ever say about this feeder is positive!

Had to replace my old Healthy Pet Simply Feed. Apparently the motor was worn giving an F02 error message every few days. New feeder works great. Very happy with the feeder. The control panel is not my favorite but it works. The stainles pan on the new feeder is very thin but is fine. Use the feeder an many as 7 times a day for our cat if we are gone for a day or two. Recommend this feeder. PetSafe has great customer service.

Great product. My cats do not graze. They have food insecurity that did not resolve from their kitten days. Because I cannot leave food in a bowl, I have the pet feeder programmed to dispense a designated amount at set times of the day. The splitter is awesome as it divides the feeding. I have two feeders and splitters with four puzzle bowls. Works well for this pet family.

The product suits my needs to a "T". Programming instructions are not easily understood - I would suggest setting the program and confirming it functions prior to 'leaving town'. The bin holds enough food (about 4-lbs) for 10 days feeding 2 - 1 year old cats 2 times per day. Initially the noise of the kibble falling into metal dish frightened the cats; now the cats have a clear signal that dinner is served.

Adopted two cats and one has an eating disorder (always hungry, pukes after eating even when using the special bowl, etc.) so searched for a timed feeder. This one is ideal. Bought the splitter as well and tried several settings before finding what worked the best for my boys. Having those options was great and it seems like this company thought of everything to make it easier. The feeder keeps them on schedule even if I'm not at home. I still had a cat sitter come to the house for water and litterbox, but I did not worry about both getting their share and there were few cat messes to deal with. Many thanks!

We have 3 dogs and a cat. We bought one to try it and the feeder is very nice. The set time works well a d we learned we were over feededing our little dog. I know do fill ups once a week instead of everyone day and night. We travel on the weekends and this made it easy to go and easy for person watching our animals. Easy set up, programing easy a d has good dorectoons. Keep the book close so while learning and adjusting.

The fact that this feeder dispenses food on schedule in approximately the portion set is the good. The fact that the timer loses about a minute per week on its clock is a digital flaw even when using the power adapter. The fact that not every dispensing is the same amount of food is also an inconsistency. Because our animals eat the portion so quickly we only see the portion size for the first second of watching. Then when they seem to still be hungry after eating we have to shake the feeder to get a few nuggets out and help it dispense a full portion the next time. Possible improvements : create a display that shows both the current time and the next scheduled feeding time. Only showing the next feeding time on the display does not make it obvious that the internal clock is getting progressively less accurate.

I travel a lot during the summer months and feeding the "kids" is important to me. Being growing kittens, they need that twice a day meals, which is better than just letting the food sit out. My cousin has this feeder and I loved hers so much I got my own. The kids love it too, they know when breakfast and supper time is!

We bought two of these feeders for our Jack Russells. We have had them for about a year. Both failed to dispense the correct amount of food consistently. Sometimes times large portions and other times small portions. Conveyors had been maintained. We even tried changing the size of the kibble but that didn't work. The kibble does not slide down the holding container properly. Could all be a better design. The display has also become barely readable on one unit. So disappointed as we had spent a bit of money trying to get the best for our dogs only to find they go hungry sometimes. It also not user-friendly as it takes a bit of working out to program. An unreliable product. Gave it two stars because it sort of works but not reliable at all.

Very handy and versatile, but the instructions are somewhat complicated. I have the instructions right on top of the feeder (which actually sits inside a box with the front of the box open) so the cats are less likely to tip the feeder over. One cat initially lay upside down and tried to work the food out, but finally gave up. When the conveyer starts and the food hits the dish the cats come running.

I bought this product about a month ago to try and get our four cats on a specific feeding schedule. I also purchased an adapter so the food would dispense into three bowls. I set it up as the instructions said but the locking piece for the conveyor does not stay in place. The feeder makes loud clunking sounds because the conveyor is not locked in place. For the cost of this feeder, it’s extremely disappointing that this particular piece is made so cheaply. I have shoved a piece of aluminum foil in between the back of the conveyor and the back wall of the machine to hold it in place so I’ll see if that works. I would not recommend this product to anyone I know.

We're sorry to hear you've had difficulty using your feeder! Please know that the conveyor does snap firmly into place. It is important to not run the feeder without it snapped into place, as this can cause damage. To lock the conveyor into place, press very firmly on the red lever until you feel and hear a solid click/snap. If this does not happen even pressing with substantial force, then the conveyor is not fully seated. Should this be the case, empty the hopper, remove the hopper, and remove the conveyor. Then, gently reinsert the conveyor, ensuring it settles into place correctly. Once this is done, you can apply firm pressure to the red lever until it snaps into place. Bought this product for the sole reason to keep my cat from getting at the food before a scheduled feeding time...my cat is still able to reach up into the dispenser and paw his food from the conveyor belt. This would work fine if he was the only cat, other than the annoying clink sound of the food dropping, but he paws the food out of two different feeders depriving my other cat of food.

Based on this description, it does sound as if the flaps near the top of your conveyors have been installed backwards, as these flaps are designed to prevent pawing food out when installed as intended. Cat Shakes Food Out

We bought this feeder due to the cat begging for food in the middle of the night. Programming is not the easiest, but manageable. We've had the feeder for 5 months, and now the cat has figured out that if the feeder is bumped, it will drop a few pieces of kibble. He now attacks the feeder to get it to release food in the middle of the night (15 minutes prior to the set feed time) as well as after receiving his evening meal. It is quite loud when dispensing the food, as well as when the cat rattles the feeder due to the metal dish. Would look for a model that is more tamper-proof.
