Shorten pie making time with Pillsbury !

Shorten pie making time with Pillsbury ! I started using them cause to be honest I suck at making pie crust homemade. Simply make sure they are defrosted and use them. I made delicious apple pie that everyone loved yesterday( use the Pillsbury recipe online). Have used this product multiple times with amazing results always.

I was so nervous after reading all the reviews that my leftover Turkey Pot Pie would be a complete failure. It came out to be the best Pot Pie I have ever made. It turned out to be the best Pot Pie I've ever had and Husband agrees. The crust was so buttery golden and flakey. It was not soggy on the bottom at all. ( Parbaked bottom crust ) Hopefully all those who had the terrible experience just got part of a bad batch. Cooked in a 9" Glass Pie Dish.

I thought it was me until I read the other reviews. I’ve used these crusts for years with no problems. This year I made an apple pie for Thanksgiving. It tasted different and the crust didn’t get done. Tried another apple pie at Christmas. Same thing happened even though I baked it for a longer amount of time. Guess I’ll start making my own.

Always been a huge fan of Pillsbury Pet-Ritz frozen pie crust. Have used them many years, The ones I bought didn't have Pet- Ritz written on the package. The ones I bought this Holiday season didn't taste the same. After baking Pecan Pie for 70 minutes, and the cooling for 2 hours. When I sliced, the bottom of crust was gooey and stuck to bottom of pan, and taste isn't the same. What has happened?

We're so sorry that your pie didn't turn out as expected using our frozen crust. You can always try to lightly moisten a paper towel with vegetable oil and rub it over the surface of the pie dish to prevent the crust from sticking. We will certainly pass your review on to our team. If you'd like to share more about your experience, you can reach out to us using the 'Contact Pillsbury' form linked at the bottom of our site. this used to be the best pie crust. I don't bake a pie often, but often enough to notice the change. Christmas 2022 will be the last time I use this crust. it's too small. don't even attempt to use a 9 inch deep dish pie pan. there is not one crumb of extra dough so there won't be enough to trim the pie with. it's also become a very thin crust. barely noticable as part of the pie. next time, i'll make my own.

I agree with so many others' reviews here! What did you do the these once perfect pie crusts?? I have made pumpkin and pecan pies for years with perfect results using these crusts, but his year these pie crusts were horrible. They did not come all the way up the sides of the SAME pie pans I have used for years (since the 70's) and they were very thin and pretty much glued to the bottom of the pie plates which has never happened before! They were an embarrassment to serve. What gives? Why change it up so drastically? I am extremely disappointed with Pillsbury and want you to fix this. Go back to making the pie crusts the same way you always have. I thought you were better than this, Pillsbury.

First time pie baker. New to cooking. I used these refrigerated pie doughs. Followed directions of letting it get to room temperature before unrolling(easy). I then placed it into a "metal" pie pan and pressed to the bottom and sides, folded the edges and crimped. I poked holes in it and refrigerated it for 10 minutes to aid for not shrinking. Baked as directed. No shrinkage. So, I must of done something right.

What in the name of Betty Freaking Crocker have you done to the pie crusts? My pecan pies and Thanksgiving were a disaster thanks to excessive shrinkage. And don’t give me some story about what I did wrong or my pan. I’ve used the same pan and recipe for 25 years. I’m sorry you didn’t have less than 1 star to leave.

I’ve been buying theses crusts for years and you’ve either changed the formula or I’ve had the bad luck to get several bad boxes. Puffing up in the oven like crazy despite me docking thoroughly with a fork. Holy cow at this rate I’ll have to go back to making my own.

Oh no! We don't like to hear that your pie crust was not as expected. We will certainly share your experience with our team. Here's a tip to keep your pie crust from bubbling up when blind baking. Gently place a piece of foil or parchment paper over your pie crust & set a few pie weights on top. Bake as directed. You can remove the pie weights & foil or parchment paper after about 15 minutes if the crust feels dry to the touch. Continue to bake until golden brown. We hope this helps!

I have used these for years. This year both pie crust were stuck so they wouldn't unroll. I didn't have time to make my own or run to the store, so this put a Sade face on my Thanksgiving meal. Where has the pride in a producing a good product gone, disappointed so won't make the same mistake again!

Oh no! That's definitely not supposed to happen. Be sure to let the pouch stand at room temperature for at least 15 minutes or microwave on defrost for 10 to 20 seconds prior to attempting to unroll. This product was great, it was my first time using this type instead of the preformed crust(which is another great product). I used this to create a lattice crust top and the dough worked as well as a homemade recipe. The only way it would have been better is if it was a square sheet instead of a circle, it still exceeded my expectations for a store bought product. The crust was golden brown and picture perfect even if my latticework wasn’t lol
